We went for a walk in the park on the recommendations from many vids I watched about Amsterdam on you tube. It was pretty, pleasant, and we enjoyed watching dogs frolic off leash. It was quite pretty, and a nice excursion.

This surprisingly large (45 hectares) park, reminds us why green spaces in an urban environment are so important. Established in the mid 19th century and named after the Dutch poet Joost van den Vondel this rectangular park area continues to serve the public very well...More

We visited here March 19. We went for a walk around the park and sat and people watched for a bit. It’s a lovely place and I imagine it would be very good in Summer when the plants and trees are properly out. Definitely worth...More

Parakeets sing from above and fly from tree to tree. It has a lovely cafe with the best coffee we had in Amsterdam. Very relaxing for an hour or two. Very beautiful too.

Very beautiful and big park. You could spend here a whole day just chilling. I didn't see lots of Cafes or places to grab a snack or something to drink inside the park, so if you go hungry bring you own stuff! Good place for...More

Although it unfortunately rained when I went, it was still a beautiful park and was still nice to sit at! I'm sure it would be even more amazing on a Sunday day where you could have a picnic.

Within walking distance from our hotel. But also a “CitySightseeing” stop. Loved the entry, alittle busy for picture taking but beautiful. If we had rented bikes, we would have enjoyed the whole park.
