This place is always interesting to visit. The first time was in the Spring and it was awesome-people out and about, enjoying this marvellous spot. This time was in Autumn and although not as busy as before it was a delight to ride around. Make sure you hire a bike from rental places nearby as it is so much fun... More

Prettiest park Ive ever been to! Dogs off leashes, children playing, beautiful ponds with fun looking birds and a great area to ride bikes! Grab a sandwich and spend some time in the park. So fun!

One of the best parks in Europe! Everything you want in summer, in the Dam, right here. My favourite park in my favourite city. While you are out of the city check out the local food/markets/coffeeshops. Remember there are Museums and plenty to see nearby so maybe book a night or two this side of town and save some cash.... We had a wonderful weather, so we spent a day at the park. It was really nice way to spend some time, felling like one of the local people. Take with you something nice to eat, something to drink and a nice book to read- and you have a great day!

A nice place to stroll among green fields and lakes in cloudy or rainy days and a lively picnic place in sunny days. No matter the weather, this park is an absolute highlight in Amsterdam.

This is a great park, with lots to see and do - we arrived early to visit friends in Amsterdam, so with 3 children who had been in the car for 3 hours, we wanted somewhere for them to let off steam. We drove to the park and parked very near to one of the entrances - parking was pricey... More

We visited Amsterdam in last week of May and loved the liveliness of this city. VondelPark is a beautifully designed park ,serene and quiet and still located right in the centre of the city. It was a place of solitude and peace.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
