it was expensive and we really did not see something special. I believe there are mamy different things to do in Amsterdam better than this

Worth a visit, there are paintings but it is not really a gallery, the major works are in the Rijksmuseum. But some excellent examples of his drawing and works by contemporaries and pupils, also interesting to see a 17th century house.

I love to see the house itself, the kitchen, stairs and everything. They give a nice impression of life in those times and of Rembrandt's life in particular

never been here before but really enjoyed it. There was a free audio guide and free lockers for your coat & bag. It really had the feel of Rembrandt's times. There was also a free demonstration on etching techniques.

You should be absolutely fine, especially if you go in the morning. The big hitters take pre-planning but these gems are pretty much walk in without too much queueing. This does depend on whether you come at peak holiday... More
