Our tours are very much personalized because they are limited to 8 persons and guided by a qualified historian. Enjoy Amsterdam in the Golden Age (walking tour). Starting from Amsterdam, other tours discover the Middle Ages, WWI, and WWII. Examples of trips: A day in the Middle Ages (Bruges or Castle tour), Battlefields of WWI (Ypres), Retrace the Battle of Arnhem (Market Garden 1944).

Our plan was to book a private tour of the history surrounding Operation Market Garden. This event does not garner the same publicity as D-Day, so finding a private tour took more research. In part, because of the reviews here, we decided on History Trips...More

Visiting from Canada and spend the day with Murk. He definitely knows his stuff and took pride in walking us through the various historical sites. He was also open to discuss any subject. Great tour and highly recommended.

I took a history tour with Murk of the WW2 airborne landings around the Arnhem bridge. It was a great day and the history was beautifully told. Saw moving gravesites, battlefields and learnt a lot of history. Can highly recommend .

We spent a full day with Murk touring the WWII Marketgarden path of the 101st airborne--touring museums, visiting battle sites and monuments. It was eye-opening to see the countryside where the battles occurred (looking so peaceful) and to learn about the affects on the soldiers...More

We went on the Operation Market Garden Tour. Driving around the area and seeing where all the battles took place, and often how close parts of the battlefields were that had completely different things going on really gives people a good idea how confusing battle...More

Remarkable tour with Murk as our guide. Murk’s depth of knowledge of the operation was outstanding, with facts and figures interspersed with moving stories of individuals. Seeing the terrain over which these remarkable men conducted the campaign in which so many gave their lives was...More

Our day with Murk was outstanding. Very informative and knowledgable and tailored the tour to include areas that my grandfather and his regiment, the KOSB, landed, fought and defended. But standing in the spots where men gave their lives and listening to Murk brought history...More

Wonderful tour. Murk extremely informative answering all ou questions. Would recommend to anyone seeking in-depth understanding of this major campaign and what it meant and still does to people of Netherlands.
