A lovely little bar with a great atmosphere and a fantastic range of beers as you would expect from a Belgian bar. There was a DJ playing great music when we were there but I'm not sure that this is a regular feature. The board behind the bar lets you know what to expect from the strength of your chosen... More

A small and cosy place to while away a few hours, very friendly with a great choice of beers. Enjoy a platter of cheese, sausage and olives while you drink.

We went here on a Saturday afternoon as I am a huge fan of Belgian beers and this had rave reviews. It is in a side street off one of the main roads and can easily be missed, so look carefully for the people loitering in the streets with beers. We got inside and literally there wasn't room to swing... More

Wonderful selection of beer in this charming cafe, in the heart of the city. Best place to meet a friend.

Was glad to pay a visit to the cosy Cafe Beligique. Tucked away down alley way. Lots of character and lots of beers to try. Good chilled music. Friendly lady served us.

It was a surprise to find this bar in Amsterdam. Their selection of beer is amazing and we feel like we were at a Belgian bar in Amsterdam. The staff were friendly and the prices are reasonable. The only downside is that the bar is too small. I really had a good time...

This is not for the usual tourist, but for those of us that enjoy the "off beat", not fancy, no frills almost local place...then it turned out just right for us. The service was the usual, but the beer selection was outstanding. I will be back :-)

Very small pub but carries the archaic feeling, friendly staff. Enjoyed the overall vibrance of place, Not the place for youngsters who are looking for Hip-Hop music...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
