Lot of cafes around and done great statues on the square. Pleasant to sit on a warm day and think. A little crowded but take your time and practice the slow life advocated by the Europeans particularly the Dutch in Amsterdam and you will find...More

Very beautiful square with interesting statues and many restaurants. I would recommend having dinner there.

We stopped here for a little while one day whilst strolling around the city. It seems to be a nice area with shops and cafes. The statues are the feature in the square and worth checking out.

Decent area. Just stroll along and take in the views on a sunny day. Nothing special or spectacular.

Our hotel was just around the corner. There are alot of restaurants here so when we got hungry we just went to one of the many restaurants there. Nice view. Not too many people but still very lively.

The principal attractions of the Rembrandtplein are the bronze, lifesize sculptures of one of the master's most celebrated pictures. The quality of the work is remarkable and its accessibility a joy for children and adults - so don't forget your cameras. The only minor downside...More

Nice square to just chill for a bit and maybe get some food at a terrace, most of the times there are quite some people around.

Early morning walk through the neighborhoods and we fell across this in Rembrandt Plaza. With no one around we were able to walk up and through the figures. What was great is they look very lifelike. When we later saw the painting it was a...More

Lively little square, with a relief of Rembrandts “Militia Company of District II under the Command of Captain Frans Banninck Cocq” made up from life-sized statues. We know it better as the Night Watch!

We stayed on a houseboat on Amstel St just beside Bar Lempicka. That was a 15 minute walk to Rembrantsplein. And Amsterdam is so flat it's easy to walk around, and it feels safe too, just watch out for trams and cyclists... More
