There are many picturesque tree-lined canals in A'dam, but this one stands out, maybe because of the historic old homes that line the canal, maybe for how close it is to the Centraal Station, or maybe due to the proliferation of restaurants in the area....More

This is another of the city's main canals, not far from the Singel, this like the others and full of fascinating things to see, fantastic buildings and the many boats moored along the canal, bicycles everywhere and above all I could breath serenity and tranquility.

There are many great canal streets, but the Brouwergracht seems to have the nicest looking canal houses. It is very close to the Centraal Station Area.

Amsterdam has many canals, but this is by far my favorite. It was everything and offers great views. I can walk their every day and see something different. Slightly of the beaten path, but well known by the locals.

We stayed on a canal in this area for four days and thought it was super. It was quiet in the morning and peaceful at night. A 15 minute walk from the Centraal Station, we were near plenty of bakeries, cafes, and bars, but not...More

The Netherlands has so many interconnected amazing canal walks along tree lined waterways in the inner city like to the Jordaan neighbourhood. Brouwersgracht is wonderful for picking a spot to pass time watching boat and foot traffic. We picknicked and fed the many ducks, crows...More

Lovely to walk down this street to Prinsengracht from the station. The houses are really pretty and it's a far better introduction to Amsterdam than the Red Light District (which we avoided!) Just go and wander round.....

It is one of so many canals in Amsterdam. But it is the beginning of all the 4 big canals such as "Singel", "Herengracht", "Keizergracht" and "Prinsengracht". Even the numerator of the houses at those canals begin from Brouwersgracht. There is a lot of storehouses...More

Brouwersgracht is one of Amsterdam's most beautiful canals. We took a walk through the Jordaan neighborhood which is a must when in Amsterdam. Beautiful canals lined with architectural gems dating back a few centuries. Back in the days this area was mainly for people with...More

Small but perfectly formed. Devoid of tourists and lovely to stroll around in the morning with the sun glinting off the canal. Very peaceful.

Brouwersgracht invites you to slow down and to take a look around. It helps visitors to understand what it is that makes Amsterdam such a beautiful city and why it's citizens are so cool!

A pretty area of the canal with lots of shops and places to eat to the north. Lovely buildings with their coloured shutters.

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
