One of the main canals of Amsterdam. The streets that follow its banks has also the same name.Old buildings, old bridges, thousands of bycicles.A good way to admire all of them is a boat trip on the canal.Or you can just stroll alongside it...
I have spent a whole day in Herengracht, such a nice part of the city with cafes, museums and galleries and shops.

Spent happy hours strolling along the canal looking at the canal houses., stopping along the way at a cafe or dipping down one of the radial streets for some shopping.
Excellent walk , various shops along the way , nice hotels to stay it , only a short walk to the city centre. A pleasant way to spend an hour walking besides the canal.
