We got to Amsterdam with no real plan so after a quick google search we found this free walking tour. Karen was our tour guide and she was great! She was a native so she was able to tell us things that we might not have known and she give FREE cheese along our tour.

I had this tour this week and I would say that it is really nice! The guide is very enthusiastic and explain everything with a lot of patience. I also had some doubts and the company was really helpful. Totally recommended!

This was my first time in Amsterdam and I was traveling solo, so I wanted to find a tour that was a bit outside of the mainstream while still getting a good feel for the city. So the ganja tour was literally the perfect solution! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job at encouraging conversation and... More

I took the Cafe and walking tour on Tuesday March 7th with Sam and Muha and was thoroughly impressed with both their knowledge and personalities! The tour gave a great introduction to Amsterdam Cafes and the various products they offer as well as an inside look at some of Amsterdam's other features that I would not have seen otherwise! Highly... More

We had a great time even though the heavens had opened up... We had a bright and bubbly young Austrian guide who was informative, friendly and very helpful - We chose the 3 hour option with snacks (which I would recommend).

Have recently had the pleasure of joining this tour with Erik as guide and learnt a lot of interesting things that I did not know about Amsterdam's secrets. It was a fun experience, totally recommending it to anybody who wants to be surprised!

The tour guides are very friendly and nice. The tour itself is very fun and includes a bit of everything: culture, food, marijuana. It was the best way to see and get to know Amsterdam better :) super recommend

This trip wasn't what we thought it was, yes we went to some coffee shops, and got showed some famous landmarks and taught about some history of Amsterdam. However, as nice as the guide was he was very unorganised, had maps up on his phone for a while. The free samples you get offered are actually from going into a... More

Thank you very much for your feedback and we are happy to know that one of our guides was using a map. This is strange as all of our guides have weeks of training to learn the area and the route of the tour. If you have a moment please email our company if you remember the name of the... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
