I can't say much for the shopping (except for the Yankee Candle store), but the giant suspended Christmas tree was beautiful, and it's worth going in to see the beautiful architecture.

The shops in here are of mid priced higg street brands. The architecture of the building was beautiful. The christmas tree right in the middle was suspended in mid air. Very Impressive!

A nice shopping centre located in the centre occupies a very attractive building. We visited late November and the Christmas decorations created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We ended up having a coffee in the coffee shop attached to the Plaza.

This is a very beautiful shopping center but with small number of shops, mostly unique and high-budget. I recommend if you need to take shelter from the rain for a 30 minutes...

The former Dutch main post office building now houses the Magna Plaza, a shopping centre just a stone's throw from Dam Square. This is a Dutch heritage site and the interior with its galleries and arcades is just as beautiful as the outside. As can be expected, it is full of tourists.

Beautiful architecture of this shopping centre. Mostly clothes, shoes and handbag shops at the mid-price range. Stunning different levels to this centre and also contains a cafe.

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
