Another scenic spot that is probably off the radar of most sightseeing in Amsterdam, but there is a lot of charm here, and in the getting there. Plot your destinations on a map and link them up for a self-guided walking tour. Nice way to...More

The Montelbaans Tower is a old structural tower standing out as the landmark in the old city of Amsterdam. It is very easy to identify the historical remains when you stroll along the canals or have canal boat ride in the city.

This tower seems to often be on the horizon, a landmark in the old city, very attractive and something to take a photo of.

I think the tour guide said this one was over 400 years old. The architecture is very cool and it's very old and in a cool spot. Worth the time.

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
