Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

We were visiting the Flowers market when we found this store.
It is Christmas all year and Christmas all around, almost an overload of Christmas. You’ll find everything here… for christmas. Big and small decorations, with music, lights, feathers… every single detail. The shop is not that big and you have to have extra careful walking around because the corridors are really narrow and everything can fall and break. It’s almost so beautiful as it is scary, because you have christmas all around you, even in the ceiling.
But if you love Christmas, don’t miss it.
And don’t miss the permanent countdown until the next Christmas.

Packed all our souvenirs in a sealed box and when we got home noticed that some had been left out. CHECK BEFORE LEAVING THE SHOP.

This shop by the flower market has a wide selection of mass produced Christmas ornaments and decorations. Tulips, bikes, windmills...lots of fun options. If you are looking for handcrafted or artisan pieces you will have to poke into the boutiques and gift shops throughout the city.

I was walking along the Singel canal to the flower market when I spotted this lovely Xmas shop. What caught my eye was the lovely Amsterdam woolly socks, fleece lined - perfect for keeping my feet warm in the winter- for 7E. I bought a pair and then I admired all the wonderful Xmas decorations . Such a great display and the guy in the shop was very helpful and friendly/chatty.

The shop may be small but it seemed to have a big heart. Worth a visit.

I'd heard about this shop and am really glad I visited. At first sight it seems very small and the shelves are crowded, and there is plenty of tat (nothing wrong with that - my Xmas collection has lots of tat - but I was looking for something special) but if you take your time looking there are some lovely items. They have some very Dutch Xmas items such as nativity and St Nicklaus figures in delft-style china. Look all the way to the ceiling for some very expensive tableaux and Santa figures.

We picked up a fine china Christmas tree decoration here before exploring the Bloemenmarkt opposite. Large store with a lot of selection, but also a lot of tat. Dig deep and you’ll find a nice item to remember your trip through.

1/2 Christmas and 1/2 tacky souvenir shop (not related to Christmas). I went after googling Christmas stores in Amsterdam. I’ve been through many Christmas stores in my travels and first time i walked out of one not buying something.

My girlfriend had been told about this magical Christmas shop that is open all year round and truly amazing...

In reality is just a Christmas shop which looks very tired and very cramped with over priced Christmas decorations.

Since I specifically wanted to find a snow globe and blue-and-white Dutch shoe Christmas ornaments, I was thrilled to see this shop. They are packed with a variety of ornaments (and yes, some snow globes), which are great for gifts or souvenirs.
