I visited the Web while I was on vacation last week and the bartender was extremely rude to me. I was waiting for a friend and the bartender said if I don't order a drink I should leave the bar. I have never experienced such rude and awful behavior from a bar in my life. Not a good way to... More

My husband and I visited this bar while on vacation. First of all it was kind of gross. Looked like the place hadn't been cleaned in a long time. We were settling in and deciding if we should stay when the bartender comes over and asks for our order. My husband told him that he wasn't ready to order and... More

This is a quiet local bar right off the shopping strip in central Amsterdam. A great place to recharge and get some local flavor. The bartender will make you feel welcome. Even though it is a gay bar, everyone is welcome.

Really calm bar with friendly, helpful staff. I thought the drinks were fairly cheap too. Went a few times during the 3 days I was there. Has dark rooms upstairs if that's what you are into, if not then you can just sit at the bar and chat. Free wifi too.

Sunday evening and packed with locals. Fun, lively, friendly. Drinks a little pricey but that's Amsterdam for you... definitely recommended.

I have been going to Amsterdam at least 4 times a year for the past 20 years. My first stop is a beer at The Web as soon as it opens! This bar is one of the oldest gay bars in the city and has always been friendly and also helpful if you want to know what is going on... More

We visited the web a great small friendly gay bar in the heart of Amsterdam. It is mainly a leather bar but not exclusively. Very friendly. We had a great time. Highly recommended. It is something of an institution. It is not ageist so all are welcome. Good selection of beers.

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
