This was a nice contrast to the multitude of art collections. This museum houses an amazing fossil collection as well as a collection of pristine early science equipment. The old building and curio cabinets also contributed to the old feel of the collection

This museum is easy to miss but an absolute treasure. It's the oldest museum in the Netherlands & has a fascinating collection of old scientific instruments & many other artefacts, brought to life with an informative audio guide. There's also an impressive art collection, including...More

In our opinion the best museum in Haarlem. Can easily spend four hours examining all the displays. Anybody with a grain of interest in natural history or science can immerse themselves in examining the multitude of glass display cases. Their scientific instrument collection is unrivaled....More

This museum has a lot of items in it, especially of scientific nature. It's hard to describe all the things in this museum. The price was quite high, but included with the museumkaart. So definitely worth some time if in Haarlem and with the card.
