Great selection of very good quality rental bikes, even ones with more gears suitable for longer trips, eg we did a 60km tour on ours. My husband is tall so needed a large frame bike and this place had them (we tried the bikes at our hotel but they were too small and uncomfortable for our purposes). They also had waterproof bike bags, helmets and other accessories for hire which we found really useful, and they provide a pump and repair kit as well. Very simple online booking process and easy renting and returning. The prices were also very reasonable. Highly recommend this place!

Come early to get your money's worth of renting out a bike for a whole day. The price is extremely fair considering all bikes are brand new. There are tons of bike options to choose from especially for families with young children. You name it, they have it.

Rented out a bike on my last (full) day.... I Regret not doing it sooner.. Enjoyed my day so much, bike was so comfortable.... The saddle was the most comfortable saddle I have ever sat on!!! I got to see a lot more of Haarlem on the bike. Super friendly staff... And just a heads up to have photo ID with you as that is used as a deposit... (and I know these are kept in a safe for your peace of mind).
Only €8 per day for pedal brake bike(1 day -24 hours - bargain).... 'When in Rome... Do what the locals do' and leave the gears at home 😊 Bike comes with 2 locks... Built in back wheel and independent lock so well secured while sightseeing and doing lengthy museum tours. As soon as I arrive the next time via Haarlem Station will be heading straight for your place to pick up my mode of transport... Thanks, noreena🍀❤️

Good bikes, in our case mountain bikes; not cheap.

Beware that they ask to leave your ID behind AND pay a deposit if you rent a mountain bike; they say it is in the contract, but there they only say this is necessary for an ebike.
And they do not make an exception.

Recommended to us by staff in Hotel Lion D'Or as guests entitled to 10 percent discount so that was good.
Located very close to Haarlem train/bus station square.
Price - EUR13.50 for full day hire of a 3 speed so good value.
Staff friendly and helpful. Colour map of Haarlem city was free but I did see a charge of 0.50 for black and white photocopy of a map to show road to beach. That could be improved as poor quality and in reality it should also be free.
Priority was the bikes and absolutely no issues, came with good quality locks.
Entire shop looked clean and work benches were professional looking so reassured that bikes also well maintained.
Would recommend.

We took the train from Amsterdam with no plan and no knowledge of the area. We walked into this shop, and the two guys who helped us set us up with good bikes, and a safely installed child seat. They then told us all about the area and gave us good ideas for how to spend the day. Absolutely zero complaints.

We rented bikes from a very unfriendly worker. I asked if there was a restroom that I could use and I was told that they do not have one. I find that hard to believe. We were charged .50 euros for a faint photocopy of a map of the national park. After renting the bikes, at the cluttered counter my husband knocked over a cheap plastic brochure holder and a piece of it broke off. After the two employees spoke to each other in Dutch, the worker helping us said we had to pay e10 for the broken piece of plastic. Upon arrival back to the store, the same piece of plastic was still being used for brochures. I feel that they took advantage of us because we weren't Dutch. We rented bikes in three other areas of Amsterdam. Those other stores were all cheaper and friendlier.

In April 2018 my family rented bikes for a day to ride to the sea. The person who initially helped us select the bikes was friendly and helpful. As we were paying and completing the paperwork, my son accidentally knocked a plastic brochure holder off the checkout counter and it cracked when it hit the floor. This sent the manager (?) into a small tirade in Dutch, so although we couldn't understand what he was saying, it was uncomfortable and seemed like an overreaction to a minor thing. We paid for the brochure holder, which was fine, but were put off by the manager's reaction to the situation. The employee helping us seemed a little chagrined by the other man's reaction as well.

As far as the bikes, we rented a parent/child tandem and found it to be quite heavy and difficult to maneuver. We also rented a cargo bike with the child box seat on the front and it was great. My daughter loved riding in it and it was easy to maneuver and much lighter than one would imagine. My advice would be to skip the tandem.

We rented three speed bikes for one day and rode from Haarlem to the North Sea. The bikes worked very well but in retrospect would have chosen a bike with more speed options. The staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful. I would rent from them again.
