Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This small grocery store is the same size and with the same stock level as the original Albert Heijn store and is free to enter.
The counter displays some original food packaging, scales and record books.
The information leaflets were available in different languages, but it would have be noce to have more information about AH grew from such humble beginings to being the main Dutch chain.
Worth a few minutes of your time, but not a special visit.

Interesting small grocery and general store founded by Albert Heijn (of the supermarket chain) showing how it all started; an Zaanse Schans in Zaandijk.

The staff were very enthusiastic and informative. I wouldn't pay to enter, but it was worth a quick visit, especially if it is not busy.

We were visiting Zaanse Shans and came acroos this Albert Heijn store. Its so cute and has lots of interesting products from the past and museum items to view. At the back of the museum shop there are displays of the history of coffee.
It dates back to 1887. Apparently the furniture and fixtures are original.
Great place to explore and entrance is free.

I saw this place and was curious about it. It's a really small shop which doesn't have much for sale. They have coffee and tea for sale in the back, but it requires cash (coins) to buy.

Nice small museum with informative staff. They spoke really well in English to help translate. Nice museum that's worth the visit.

This is the 1st grocery store of the famous supermarket Albert Heijn. It's nice to see how AH was in the past. Free entrance. There is coffee-tea machine at the back side for € 1,00.

This small structure houses some period artifacts from the earliest days of Albert Heijn, the major present-day Dutch grocery chain. While it was certainly quaint in some regards, there really wasn't a lot to see, and it didn't provide much history or context, such as the development and growth of the modern company, which would have been nice.

This is just an ordinary and small grocery store. Not sure why this is even listed as an attraction here.

For both dutchies as tourists, this shop is nice to visit. the staff, all volunteers, explain all the goods and the way a grocery shop was run a century ago. Some of the older visitors will still recognize a lot of the brands.
