Best part in my mind is the way they blend old with new and especially by putting contemporary jewelry in the locker area=genius!

Its an interesting old building which has been very tastefully renovated. You can visit all rooms in the space of an hour or so. I was quite impressed. Worth a visit, especially if on Museumkaart.

This museum has about 10 expos. Some of the are great, like the one about the archaeological findings, the kitchen utilities, the family portraits and the buildings. Others are, well, they´re not bad enough to remember, just not good enough either.

The space in the building has been well adapted to create interesting areas for the exhibits. There is quite a variety of things to be seen in the museum. There is seventeenth century art, modern art, roman coins, recreation of Dick Braun's studio, views from the Dom tower. We certainly spent an enjoyable afternoon here. It was closing time by... A great museum - mostly modern works, but three galleries cover the history of art in Utrecht. Dont miss the display on the Roman's on the top floor - or the 1000 year old boat in the basement

This museum is so like all other attractions within Netherlands: organized, modern and mind-blowing. It's focused on history, not arts, and information comes written, in audio or video.

This museum has a really eclectic collection. Things were very interesting but not 5 star but almost. There are changing exhibits and the building itself is old an interesting. If you are up for something a little different try this museum. Price was €12.50. It is a little away from the main center but only a 10 to 15 minutes... More

The impossible architecture of this museum, built like a maze of rooms and floors, hides many interesting exhibitions. We didn't except to spend over an hour and to wish we had more time. For lovers of contemporary art.

We have been visiting Utrecht for many years but this was the first time we had been to see the Centraal Museum. We went especially to see the Carravaggisti painting in the style of Carravaggio, from the early 17th century. They really were impressive, with some very high quality work making excellent use of the light and darkness contrast of... More

The museum has some nice exhibits but there is no logical order. In one room you see 17th century paintings, then modern art, roman coins and then for some reason chairs!! The positive is that it had english descriltions but it would benefit from better exhibit organiation.
