This museum is so like all other attractions within Netherlands: organized, modern and mind-blowing. It's focused on history, not arts, and information comes written, in audio or video.

This museum has a really eclectic collection. Things were very interesting but not 5 star but almost. There are changing exhibits and the building itself is old an interesting. If you are up for something a little different try this museum. Price was €12.50. It is a little away from the main center but only a 10 to 15 minutes... More

The impossible architecture of this museum, built like a maze of rooms and floors, hides many interesting exhibitions. We didn't except to spend over an hour and to wish we had more time. For lovers of contemporary art.

We have been visiting Utrecht for many years but this was the first time we had been to see the Centraal Museum. We went especially to see the Carravaggisti painting in the style of Carravaggio, from the early 17th century. They really were impressive, with some very high quality work making excellent use of the light and darkness contrast of... More

The museum has some nice exhibits but there is no logical order. In one room you see 17th century paintings, then modern art, roman coins and then for some reason chairs!! The positive is that it had english descriltions but it would benefit from better exhibit organiation.

The Centraal museum is 2 sections, the Schröder Huis and the main museum. Buy a combination ticket for both houses online. The main museum shows the history of city, a bit the art group de Stijl, lots of paintings and you can easely spent some hours here.

An excellent museum with very interesting exhibits. The viking ship was very atmospheric and the photographic views from the Dom were superb. You need to make sure you do not miss exhibits, because the building is historically rambling!

Really enjoyed the exhibitions. Unique layout and fun to walk around. Learned a little about Utrecht and its history and there were some truly awesome artworks if it's your jam. Exhibition 4 and 9 (dick Bruna studio) were stand outs; although the eclectic mix of stuff there made it hard to be bored. Do go expecting to make your own... More

Museum of the city Utrecht. Permanent exhibition of Dick Bruna's creation Nijntje/Miffy, for which you have to pay seperately. Tip: when with small children (up to 7) go and see Nijntje, in all other cases cross the street and visit the museum.
