Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you sew, and you visit Utrecht, you need to visit this place. A whole street of fabric stalls along with stalls for sewing notions like zips, threads and anything else you might need. There was a brilliant selection of fabrics of all types for every purpose and I found the prices were very good. Remnants and ends of rolls at 1 to 2 euros per metre and dressmaking fabrics priced from 6 euros per metre upwards.

The market is on a Saturday morning between 8am - 1pm and there is a nice wee coffee shop at the start of the street. We were staying in the south of the country in Zeeland and were driving to Utrecht but didn't want to drive into the city. So we drove to the Park + Ride Westraven on the south of the city and got a tram into the centre. It cost 5 euros which covered the parking and the tram ticket which we could use all day in Utrecht for up to 5 people. We were only 7 minutes on the tram into the centre and then about 10 minutes walk to the market.

Well worth a visit.

This market is hundreds of years old. It sells fabric and haberdashery, mainly for clothes but also soft furnishings. It's a thriving bustling joyful experience and the offerings are often cheap and high quality.
