Along with the Nieuwe Kerk, the 2 churches dominate the Delft skyline. They are just a 5 minute walk away from each other and the modest entry fee covers both sites. It is very bare inside; apart from a small exhibition about the significant role that Delft scientists have played in the development of microbiology, but it is interesting to... More

Of the two big old churches in Delft I prefer the old church on the inside. It has a number of graves of VIPs from Dutch history you might otherwise not come across. Also the modern stained glas windows from the 1950s are worth seeing. You may wonder why they are so young, but the reason is a long time... More

Renovation work also being carried out but not so intrusive. Well lit and with an extra exhibition covering the history of the University and micro biology made this visit very interesting. But the icing on the cake was talking to one of the church guides who took time to explain just about everything to my wife. If you can book... More

The inside is completely renewed and, unless you visit for religious purposes, there is nothing to be found interesting. The outside is the most interesting part, the surroundings are also to be checked moreover if you have watched the classic movie Nosferatu the vampyre, since that is the area of the city where the main character lives. Note that the... More

With its tower leaning 2m and its sheer size and age, this is quite a place. Add to this, the large number of underground crypts housing the tombs of all the key families of old Delft including Vermeer, and this place is a must see. Located in an interesting part of old Delft, there is plenty to see here.

Wonderful, airy and bright in winter sun. Fascinating to anyone interested in Dutch history. Organ being tuned during our visit added another dimension. Ticket covers both churches.

This historic church houses the graves of a variety of figures significant in European history, definitely worth spending a few minutes here when you are in the Delft centre.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Oude Kerk. Very historic, rather cold interior because of the stripping of Catholic icons after the Reformation. Johannes Vermeer is buried in the church with a plaque marking the location. This is a must see attraction in Delft. We highly recommend a visit.

There are no Vermeers in this city, but you can visit the city of his inspiration, and the Vermeer center has reproductions of all 34 of his paintings. visit his tomb in the church, and walk the canals. quaint, marketplace, vintage shops selling 400 year old Delft tiles. you and also tour 2 delft ceramics factories. wonderful shops and restaurants....
