We visited Gouda in a Saturday morning. We were lucky as it was sunny and there was also the local market. It was very interesting with many products to buy. We also enjoyed a great coffee on the square. Do not miss it

A lovely square with numerous great eateries to suit all tastes and budgets and plenty of shops. Very busy when we visited as there was a fair present which is apparently there on a periodic basis.

Nice square with the old town hall on it. Looks amazing with all the lights in the evening, with many restaurants around. Also try to be here when the market is on, so nice

Nice to be able to sit out of an evening and with some decent eateries on the square. Market day saw it heaving and there was even a mobile motorised dutch dance organ doing the rounds of the square.

Nice and friendly place to stroll around with shops, restaurants, pubs and the markets. Felt safe. Watch out for cyclist and scooters driving around. Found the people to be very friendly and helpful where ever we went in Holland.

I believe Thursday and Saturday is farmer's market days and Sunday hosted a comic book affair. We were not there in the first half of the week,so don't know first hand.Maybe they have a local website with information?
