Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Designed by architect Abe Bonnema, it is known as the NN building fully owned by the Nationale Nederlanden until 2014. Now it is hosting many small companies though the NN still retains some office space, and their partner Douwe Egberts café on the ground. An eye-catcher in Rotterdam, it used to be the tallest building in the Benelux when opened their 41 floors in 1991, and today is the third tallest building in The Netherlands after the Maas Tower and the New Orleans. You can’t miss it when visiting Rotterdam as it is located next to the Central Station, another architectural icon of Rotterdam.

We passed by here on the way to and from the Central Station and our hotel further down the road. We liked the huge columns. It is a huge office tower and part of the skyline of Rotterdam city centre.

The Delftse Poort or 'gate to Delft' is a very tall 41 floor skyscraper. Very sleek located next to Rotterdam Central Station.

Usually when something that cannot be visited is listed on TripAdvisor, it's because it's very beautiful and worth seeing it from the outside. It's not the case here, this building is just a tall, modern building without anything special. You will see it if you are in the Centraal/Weena area, but it's an office building and in no way a tourist attraction.

The Delftse Poort is situated nearby the central station, in the business neigbhorhood of Rotterdam: it's very similar to the business centers of other European cities!

It is is one of the high buildings in Rotterdam so it's also the skyline of Rotterdam. I'm not sure if we can visit this building as it's an office building. I was there because I like to take pictures of the pillars on the side of the building. The location is just on the left side of Central Station.

Due to its proximity to the central station, this is the first of the 'tall buildings' you will likely come across when visiting Rotterdam. It has been the tallest building in NL for several years. I would love to take a tour as this seems possible.

Late in the eighties of last century, the insurance company Nationale Nederlanden had developed plans to build a new office building close to Rotterdam Central Station. The architect, Abe Bonnema stunned everybody with a plan for a office tower 150 meter high, an unheard for high skyscraper for the Netherlands. Fortunately the courage was there to follow up on Bonnema's design; in the first years of the '90s of last century this landmark office tower was built. Since then many skyscrapers were planned and built in Rotterdam, even two, eclipsing the Delftse Poort building in height, but the Delftse Poort will remain a landmark in the Rotterdam skyline.
