The Mauritshuis is home to the very best of Dutch Golden Age painting. The compact, yet world-renowned collection, is situated in the heart of The Hague, right next to the government centre. Masterpieces such as Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring, The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp by Rembrandt, The Goldfinch by Fabritius and The Bull by Potter are on permanent display in the intimate rooms of this seventeenth-century monument.

Vermeer's painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring" is the main attraction of this charming museum located next the parliament (Het Binnenhof).

Small and perfectly formed. Paintings of the renaissance my draw and not disappointed. Hubby ( not a museum fan) engaged and happy to wonder around. Loved it and the artwork is amazing. (Why we were there 👍)

This museum is a must-see for tourists and residents alike. Here you can see Dutch masterpieces in a beautiful newly renovated old museum. The most outstanding museum of the Hague and in quality a match for the Rijksmuseum.

It was worthwhile coming to Den Haag for this museum. We came for the temporary exhibition, which was very nice but rather small! To come only for this temporary exhibition, would be a bit frustrating because of its size. But we also saw the permanent...More

I think not. The line to enter the Anne Frank House is long and the travel time to The Hague is just under an hour each way plus a 15 minute walk to Mauritshaus from the train station. Unless you are a traveler who just... More
