Tis place is okay but to be honest the selection isn't all that big. There is some good stuff to see in here though so it's worth a visit.

This is literally a couple dozen of landscape paintings of Mesdag spread across 3 rooms. There are also a few of his wife. The landscapes he paints are quite impressive and his story is the same. Last part of the museum is the panorama. IT WILL LITERALLY BLOW YOUR MIND. A visit would take about an hour.

This is a small museum with truly beautiful pieces. The Panorama itself is breathtaking. The light fall is exceptional. You don't need a full day to see it all, in about 2 - 3 hours you've seen and enjoyed it all.

Ever since seeing this incredible 360 degrees painting for the first time when I was still very young, I've been coming back. And every time it's exciting again to go up the dark stairs and then suddenly see the historic Scheveningen seaside in front of you. It's simply mesmerizing. You will blink you're eyes a good few times as you... More

Incredible what this man painted! First the collection in the museum of Mesdag's fellows is absolutely stunning: even though I am not a big fan of that period I have enjoyed looking at those lively paintings. Then the Panorama is something that you could never expect and it is completely overwhelming. If you are familiar with Scheveningen you really should... More

Surprise yourself, your friends and family by visiting this unique painting of Scheveningen in the 19th century. The set up is great and takes your breath away once your eye in eye with Mesdag's masterpiece

We decided to drop in as we were passing by. It advertised the panorama at only €1. However, it is €10 to enter!

It was really nice to see how everything used to be in the past. Looks realistic, and beautiful. The painter must've been amazing

is one of the most singular paint I've visited....is just to jump in the past. you arrive in the circular room...close for a while your eyes, listen the soft music..open again your eyes...and you will be on the beach in 1800...
