It's a fascinating journey into the world of diamonds. You'll learn how these precious stones are formed, mined, and transformed into stunning jewelry. It's not just educational; it's also a chance to admire some exquisite bling. A must-visit if you're in Antwerp and curious about the magic behind those sparkling stones!

We were in Antwerp for the day with two young children and given Antwerp's historic association with the diamond trade, this was very much on our radar - however we were somewhat put off by some negative reviews and almost didn't come. Well I'm glad we ignored those reviews!
Price of ticket is reasonable and our children received two small loupes which they could keep. All facilities very pleasant and the building and surrounds are very nice in themselves. The museum is spread over several floors, each with its own theme, starting with 'what is a diamond?' and proceeding from there. Each room is beautifully presented and with lots of interactive bits for everyone to explore. I think our favourite was the mock vault with its huge thick door. The safety deposit boxes would slip out to reveal more information, fascinating! There's plenty here for a couple of hours if you go in with a curious mind. Our children enjoyed the experience too.
I would like to make special mention of the friendly staff and in particular a lady docent who engaged with our young boys straight away to keep them busy while we were reading everything, and actually ended up moving with us through the museum as we moved from room to room. She was very pleasant and we thanked her for her kindness at the end. A true gem herself!

We thought it would be interesting, considering the city and its history, however it fell flat at every turn. This museum was boring, we felt watched and scrutinized and the staff was useless. While we realize they just reopened after being closed for an extended period over COVID, they frankly should have remained closed. We were traveling as a family who have lots of experience world wide so we don’t feel we are being harsh on our review, it simply isn’t worth your time.

I absolutely LOVED this museum. It's a very reasonable 12 Euros to enter and it was worth every penny. I'm a jewelry lover and being here was truly heavenly.
All of the exhibits are varied and beautiful. They are interactive and easy to navigate. The audio guides that are included in your admission are interesting and well done.
Also.. all of the people that work there are super nice and that adds to the pleasure.
Very clean and neat restrooms too.
Thank you DIVA museum! So glad we visited.

As other reviewers have said, this museum perhaps holds appeal for those especially interested in diamonds & silverware, particularly the latter which majors here, but for the general visitor with a little curiosity about diamonds & Antwerp’s position within the industry, it’s rather dry & dull. We didn’t enjoy it.

So, what to say about this museum Diva: the diamond museum is off course at its place in the world diamond capital which is Antwerp. But I would only go in one of three cases: 1. When you just adore jewelry, 2. When you have a few hours during your stay which are empty (if not, go to the more popular sights), 3. When you have free tickets. The museum is absolutely worthwhile, but it is specialised and not for the general people that hardly ever visit one. But let the pictures guide you... I loved it.

The Diva museum is dedicated to the history of diamond jewellery, together with silver and other precious items. It located just of the Gross Markt. There is a discount from the entrance fee for those with an Antwerp Card. The museum is in two parts, the permanent museum and then a temporary exhibit. With the entry ticket you get an audio guide which provided information about the exhibits around the museum. The museum is located across a few floors but there is a lift. The musuem is quite interesting but it is more an exhibit of jewellery than a history of diamond manufacturing. There is a gift shop with some very expensive diamond based gifts.

This is a must see for any student of jewelry design.
Even the architecture of old buildings in the square leading to it are representative of European renaissance.

We had high expectations since Antwerp is really famous for diamonds, and the tickets were pricey, but we didn't like the museum so much.
The descriptions were poor, which would have been fine, but the audio guide was a mess: it didn't work as it should have, the stories were chaotic, it was not clear what are facts and what is fiction, it was hard to understand what are you looking at.
The most interesting part was a short movie in which they explained how diamonds are made. The exponents were beautiful and the concept was also good, it is a pity the audio guide did not improve the overall experience.
