This old mayor's house contains an impressive collection of flemish painters, from the primitives till the baroque. It houses part of the Royal Arts Museum of Antwerp which is under restoration. Small, but a must.

The Rockox house fits in the line of 16th century museums in Antwerp. I found it less impressive than its competitors the Rubens house and the museum Mayer Van den Bergh, and also than the printing museum Plantin-Moretus, but still it has a fine painting collection in an old building with a good courtyard. Tourists should make sure to see... More

Situated away from the main high street, Rockox House provides further artwork from those found at Rubens House. Considering that Rockox was a lawyer and a friend of Rubens, his house illustrates his love for great artwork and other artistic forms. To expand your artistic leanings, visit Rockox House.

Enter into the 16-17th century interior of the house of the former mayor of Antwerp. Cosy museum still mostly untouched. the various temporary expositions always enrich the permanent collection and are always of te same time frame. A must see !

The Rockox House (a former mayor of Antwerp) is well preserve and is an intimate setting for Flemish Master Paintings. It is a different experience - the painting are displayed as they would have been in the 17th century not in a museum.

A small museum with an excellent collection. Property of a bank. It's the former home of one of Antwerps mayors and art collectors, from the beginning of the seventeenth century.

Located not that far from well-known tourist destinations in Antwerpen, and still largely unknown to wide public and to the guests of Antwerpen. Great albeit small museum. Really highly recommended to everybody who loves old Dutch paintings. The museum currently houses an exhibition of Clara Peeters, an artist from 16th century, with brilliant still life pictures!

Unexpectedly high quality renaissance to baroque exhibits under the most authentic environment. You must visit the on-going special exhibition of rather unknown Clara Peeters still life paitings (2 October 2016).
