A very pretty square, lovely architecture, very photogenic. If you are lucky to visit on a nice sunny day, it will be even more pleasant. Make sure you spend some time to vidi a few places of interest and to enjoy some good food and pubs, as well as some nice antiques shops.

Wanted to find a nice cafe for coffee and waffles. Guess what? Wednesday seems to be early closing day. So ended up in Starbucks with the usual, welcome though!

this building you can't get away and you certainly should not. they located in the middle of the city and everyone who go to antwerpen visited them. very beautiful old buildings with gold statues. when you look at them you can think about anything else...you just want to take photos again and again.

The Grotesque Markt offers what most European square do, plenty of cafe's or drinking holes around the perimeter and amazing architecture. Go early to avoid the crowds although we found that we were early enough in the season not to feel that it was a tourist trap.
