Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Coming from abroad you have to have the courage to leave the touristic , however very beautiful, old center of Antwerp and to walk, through de Kloosterstraat, to de Kaaien and than into "Het Zuid"the enormous amount of bars, café's, restaurants will surprise you. And always the atmosphere is good. The terrasses, even early in spring or late autumn, lways "gezellig"crowded. And many musea are here welcoming you, MUKA,Fiolmmuseum. A pity the Big Museum on de Waelplaats is closed for some years. But enough to enjoy together with the people from Antwerpen who prefer to come to "het zuid".

There are upwards of 40 restaurants in this area, great choice and a buzzing atmosphere in both the restaurants and the bars. Much preferred to the touristy (Although still lovely!) Groote Market centre of the city

If your looking for some of the trendiest places in Antwerp, visit the South of the city. Nice pubs, bistrots and restaurants for everybody's taste and .. budget.

The Zuid is great area to in the south of Antwerpen, next to the river area. It is know because of restaurant area as well as upscale furniture store and surroundings. If you are looking for a place to eat lunch and/or dinner or vegan / belgian /italian / Spanish food in one place, this is one of the areas where you want to park your car and walk. Additionally this is one of the very few parking areas that are free in the city. Enjoy the surroundings

I love 't Zuid. The antique shops, the many restaurants and bars, the party scene, the museums and the closeness to the river. Can't go wrong here; There is simply something for everyone.

This is the hip neighbourhood in Antwerp.
Lots of very nice restaurants, ranging from the Funky Soul Potato to Bar Italia to the Chili Club. Bars are also plentiful and are definitely worth a visit any night (especially Friday and Saturday night).
This is where the locals go and there are few tourists (except those that wonder out of the city's art gallery).

Zuid ( The South ) is in my opinion the very best district of this most beautiful of cities, the area is teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture both modern and old ,the Monument Schelde Vrij is magnificent, this stunning piece of architecture sums up Zuid to me,a wonderful monument surrounded by fabulous pubs and restaurants, a cool place to visit.
A great area,if your planning a holiday to Antwerp well worth checking out.

Just so laid back. Great little shops, loads of eateries and lots of art on display. A cool destination away from the crowds.
