We visited Belgium in April. Our hotel was close to the Grand Place but we didn't realize until we walked up a side street and literally "stumbled into it". Needless to say our jaws dropped! We looked at each other (and being the sentimentalists we are) stood there and actually cried at the beauty that stood around us. One of... More

Highly recommended to all those travelling to Brussels. We were there several times a day just to see the different views of the place. It's worth the UNESCO nomination.

You can't go to Brussels without strolling the streets around the Grand Place, but the square is the highlight, we went for the Christmas market and wasn't disappointed, the Christmas tree from Riga is beautiful and the light show is a plus. During the day or at night the buildings on the square are unbelievable, don't forget your camera you... More

There is an awesome light show every hour that you cannot miss. Awesome lights that go with the music played throughout the palace. One of the best town squares we have seen. Much better than Venice, Tallinn, and Dublin.

I have to love the charm and design of this place, such beauty, even with scaffolding they made it look the same. After staggering from a bar late evening, we met the newest addition Starbucks.......WHY! Keep Grand Place natural and lovely stop the chains.

This square, or Grand Place should I say, is absolutely beautiful. The buildings that surround the outside are very impressive and tower above all the tourists that flock to its centre. I see in the photos that they often have grand displays of flowers, fountains and patterns that take over the centre of the square. That would be SO. COOL!... More

Visiting Brussels in December gave me the opportunity to see the Palace Square light show, which was absolutely beautiful. All of the buildings within the square light up in different colors as music plays. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The show is played on the hour from 5pm. I stayed for two shows, walking through the Christmas market and... More

As it was my first time in Brussel I had expectations that Brussel is more kind of "business city" and there are not a lot to see. I had no idea that there is such a beautiful Old Town in Brussel and you really can´t leave Brussel without seeing Grand Place and Manneken Pis and also getting some delicious chocolate... More

Utterly gorgeous. Especially the Town Hall at night. If you can, get a tour of the town hall. The Christmas Tree from Riga was beautiful lit up at night.
