summer picnics or Sunday stroll when some roads are closed to traffic, some lovely shaped trees although when I had to drive through this regularly it seemed like a race-track and cars hurtle through it in rush hour

I have been here many many times, throughout my life and it is a go to spot in Brussels for me. There is a cafe on the island, which you can reach via a small pull ferry as well as one in the park. Both great for a tasty coffee. I've had waffles at the one that is not on... More

With the park closed to traffic on Saturdays and Sundays this place is a blessing for all kinds of people from the famillies wanting to give fresh air to their kids to the fitness maniacs wanting to run around the lake. Try to spot the swans on the lake, they are a beauty.

Really had a fantastic day getting lost here. We didn't actually get lost but it was nice to be in a park in a busy city. The shades were nice to escape from the sun and the park was quiet which provided a much needed calm from the city sometimes!

I love this park. Since it is close to my house, I often go running or go on bike rides in the park. It is fairly big so if you are the type of person that likes to go on long walks, this is the perfect park for you. There is a restaurant on an island in the middle of... More

We've spent many walks int his gorgeous gem. Kids loved exploring it, we enjoy the island and the hot chocolate that is served there with waffles. This park is a must if visiting Brussels, in the summer is relaxing. Nice place to go running aswell.

As a kind of NY Central Park, La Cambre is nestled in town (east, Elsene/Ixelles/Ukkel) and it is a part of the vast forest. Ideal for a stroll or a picknick. A skate rink, some restaurants and a real Island.. with a posh restaurant/snack (Chalet Robinson) - that you can reach by a small boat service (navette).

Once you have crossed the streets around the park, it is a beautiful place to jog, walk or yoga! The park has a lake and you can enter the forêt de Soignes from there. On sundays they even close the roads in the park so no cars are allowed ! :)

If you are in the Ixelles area and would like to go for a walk/run, Bois de La Cambre is unique. Situated in the middle of a big city, this park offers a genuine getaway from the urban environment.
