Wikipedia suggests this is the biggest court building in the world, and I could believe it. The Palace of Justice is absolutely gigantic and, on the inside, cavernous, beautifully decorated. If you turn up on any working day, you can enter and wander around for free, but must go through airport-style security. The place is full of art, lawyers in... More

Being a lover of the more popular Escher pictures we were keen to see his less well known works. The exhibition is housed in an old palace with notes in each room detailing how it was used when royalty were still in residence. The way the history of Escher was shown along with a modern light installation and some short... More

The better surprise of my trip to Brussels. A huge and fantastic building, with a beautiful view of the city.

We were unsure whether we could entre but after going through security check we were in. We did not see any court rooms as it is a huge complex that is extremely nice but could do with better directions.

Beautiful building. You can enter without cost and discover the magnificent grandeur of the heart of justice in Brussels.

We didn't do a tour, just took pictures on a very cold day. Best part was the view of the city from there and the sight of the lawyers all dressed in their garb.

Didn't bother trying to go into the building as it's covered in unattractive scaffolding. A real shame! However, there is a terrace with a good little view over Brussels. When we were visiting there was a little section of deck chairs & a van serving beers & wine. A nice place to sit and watch the world go by.

Maybe because it's always under renovation (for years as I recall), this building is totally underwhelming both inside and out. But the view of Brussels from the street is worth the walk up the Rue de la Regency to get there. But this is a low priority thing to do.

The Palais de Justice is located on one of the hills of central Brussels and its golden dome is a landmark visible from many locations. We walked past it on the way into the old city centre and found this vast building to be somewhat sadly neglected and unguarded. You can wander from the street into the huge foyers and... More
