Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This building has had an amazing renovation and I would say it's a must see. Drop in and gauge at the ceiling and admire the details. Entrance to have a look is free. Don't miss it!

This is an impressive building in downtown Brussels. Belgium's former stock exchange building is a colossal neoclassical structure that is quite uncommon in the city. Unfortunately there is ongoing renovation work around the square and it seems that there is no way to get in.

First trip back to Brussels since travel restrictions have been lifted and it was interesting to see the great buildings again ,see if life was as before the pandemic and thankfully it is ,heading to Place De La Bourse I passed Bourse ,the beautiful ,imposing former stock exchange building of Brussels .
I was surprised to see that it's encased in scaffolding and major renovation work is being carried out ,the building is over a 150 years old so I suppose it needs a bit of care ,I am back in Brussels next year and hopefully the rebuilding work will be completed and once again I can admire this great building that's easy to locate on Place De La Bourse.

La Bourse is the former stock exchange building on the appropriately named Stock Exchange Square. Sadly it is or at least was closed to the public during my visit in the summer of 2020 but I nevertheless walked past it multiple times each day being so close to my apartment. It is hard to miss because of its central location in the historic heart of the city and looks fantastic when lit at night.

Located in the stock exchange square, the front was full of people catching a good time in the evening. There were some civil works going on on the adjoining streets, but that did not deter the loads of people around.
So attractive is this area of Brussels that I recommend visiting, even if only to pass through.

Huge and dominant building, clearly representing all might which country possess. Not far from the main square.

Saw the outside of the building at night. Was nice to see it light up at night. Wished we would have had the opportunity to see the interior

The old La Bourse de Bruxelles building is the stock exchange of Brussels. The grand old lady of Brussels is a staggeringly beautiful classically inspired building. The front of the building is especially with it’s classically Greek hexastyle portico topped with a highly ornate pediment with sculptures. This building and the adjacent Grand Place dominate the Îlot Sacré area with their sheer majesty.

The building is of course no longer used as a commodities exchange and not mainly hosts exhibitions. On the day I visited, there was an exhibition on capitalism, mostly informative for visitors to make up their own mind about this socio-economic system. The exhibition was mostly in French or Dutch, but there was a leaflet in English which was not as verbose as the aforementioned languages.
