Lots of other visitors agree so this indoor shopping arcade is usually very crowded. We bought chocolates here. Lots of upscale shops and some places for coffee. The design is classic mid-nineteenth century.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 November 2023
- SMLikestoTravelBengaluru, India391 contributionsShopping arcade dating back to 1847!We visited this shopping arcade just because of the fact that it dates back to 1847 and is still functioning! Nice to spend an hour here strolling and taking in the sights. We limited ourselves to window shopping but did indulge in waffles from Maison Dandoy here.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 3 December 2023

- K PastoreHinsdale, Illinois670 contributionsWorth a walkIt's worth a walk through with beautiful architecture and history. It's nice to walk around on a rainy day, but can get very crowded with tour groups and tourists. Many great shops, lots of chocolate too.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 18 April 2024
- Belle-NoelCroydon, United Kingdom1,947 contributionsGorgeous covered passageThis is a gorgeous, covered shopping gallery with plenty of shops and things to eat and drink. It’s lovely just walking through here and looking in all the places - however please note that prices here are far higher. We discovered this by chance when we bought some chocolates and then went into the same branch elsewhere and the cost was far higher.Visited March 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 21 April 2024
- Marina A27 contributionsRoseline d'Oreye shop - definitely worth a visit! The most interesting place I found here was the boutique of a Belgian illustrator Roseline d'Oreye! definitely worth a visit. I found a huge collection of silk scarves of any size. All of them are limited edition and the prints are drawn by a Belgian artist. I bought a silk scarf with a Belgian chocolate print and a bag painted by an artist (unique item! ). Good idea for gifts from Brussels - I found things of excellent quality and with symbols of Belgium.Visited April 2024Travelled soloWritten 5 May 2024

The architecture is exquisite, and it's a great place to stroll, shop, and enjoy a coffee or pastry. It's also a good spot to taste test chocolate, with Neuhaus being a standout choice for its delicious offerings. A must-visit for its historic elegance, cozy atmosphere, and delightful chocolate treats.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 June 2024

It is much longer than expected, but you should take your time to enjoy all of the shop windows and perhaps a chocolate. We ran out of time for the waffle shop!Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 27 July 2024

This stretch of walk was very nicely lit when we visited in January. It is a great place to experience Belgium chocolate (even though it can be quite pricey). A good place to look for pretty things to take home with you.

The Gallery is a feast for the senses, with an overwhelming array of delightful chocolate shops and pastries. Each window display is a fantasyland of sugar and chocolate and samples are available in many of the stores making picking your chocolates easier and fun. The Gallery gets very crowded on the weekend but if you can arrive in the early hours of the weekday you will have many of the shops to yourself and more space to roam!

I have to admit that I am one of the few husbands out there that loves to take his wife shopping. I go around the store picking out accessories for her whether it be for clothes or kitchen appliances. However, it is just as enjoyable when I visit an amazing set of stores and help others on a tour group spend their money. I get great satisfaction in seeing other people smile. The set of stores here range from elegant and classic to very elegant and very classic. Nothing is too outrageous. All the shops are top notch. The cafes were all full, offering a variety of cuisines. I never knew that waffles could be served in so many different ways. The nice part about this place is that it is all indoors so if the weather is bad, the shopping does not have to be. The Gothic architecture is completely amazing too. In the end, this is a must visit place even if you simply do a rather quick walk through. Just outside and around the corner is a bar that serves more types of beer than any where else in the world. Guess I have to come back and spend some serious time here!

Honestly we passed through this gallery by pure chance, we were not aware it even existed; I have visited many galleries and this is in the top 10 for sure. The decor, the architecture is very nice, you can feel the wealth of it. If you are a chocolate lover, than you have to pass through this gallery, because there is a good variety of shop offering different types of Belgian chocolate and pralines.

Located just a stone’s throw from Grand Place, you will likely not fail to stumble upon this arcade if you’re exploring the surrounding pedestrianized shopping area. The first thing that strikes you is the gorgeous one-point perspective of the entire gallery, with the resplendent glass-paned roof arching over rows of impressive shop facades on both sides. The shopping arcade has an array of cafes and exclusive stores, but even if you’re not there for shopping, it’s worth just gawking over the gallery to admire its architecture.

Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert (Royal Saint-Hubert Galleries) is a delightful shopping arcade between Rue de Bouchers and Rue de l'Ecuyer in central Brussels. The arcade was designed by Belgian architect J.P. Cluysenaar in 1847 and is an elaborate display of rich Italian Renaissance architecture and style.
This is a lovely venue to do a bit of chocolate shopping, to grab a coffee or just browse to enjoy the charms of the mid 19th century which are on full display inside. Each shop has an elegant facade while glass and steel ceiling allows good lighting and photo taking within. There are lamp posts above the shops which provide soft lighting in the evening, coupled with having less crowds later on, makes this a great spot for stroll later in the day as well.

A nice little undercover mall that’s filled with beautiful little cafes and chocolate stores. They are all very welcoming to tourist and appear to offer a reasonable price on good in this location. There are also places you can purchase waffles from too and regular lunches. Highly recommend this place and very friendly.

It is a very beautiful shopping gallery with great high-quality shops that offer typical Brussels goods. Built in the middle of the 19th century, this beautiful 200 - 250m long promenade is a listed building and invites you to take a dry and sheltered walk, stroll and shop in a royal atmosphere, not just when it rains. A visit here is highly recommended. The historical architecture and furnishings are classy.

It is not just another shopping complex, but an entire architectural and historical monument decorating the centre of the Belgian capital. Built in 1847, the complex is a so-called shopping arcade consisting of several galleries that are under one roof. There are three parts – one called the King's Gallery and the other called the Queen's Gallery and the Prince's Gallery. The King's Gallery houses most boutique souvenirs and home goods, and the Queen's Gallery houses the main fashion centre. Above the pedestrian streets of the gallery, this roof is made of glass, so that natural light is created here during the daytime.
The Royal Galleries of Saint Hubert contain 54 boutiques in total, as well as more than a hundred private apartments for rent. The passage was built in 1846–1847 by the young architect Jean Pierre Kleisenar in the Neo-Renaissance style and was almost the first in a line of European commercial galleries like Milan's Victor Emmanuel II Gallery. Apart from the actual shopping and promenade space, the gallery has always served as a magnet for the Brussels intelligentsia, so it should not be surprised to have two theatres and a museum here at once. Even if there is no shopping in the plans, the Royal Galleries of St. Hubert are a must-see.

Hello. Will the shops be open on Saturday 11th November 2023? I’m aware it’s Armistice day but because it’s a Saturday I wondered whether the National holiday was on a week day instead ? Thank you for any help.

My suggestion is to park at Heysel metro station, there is a big car park by the Atomium, then take the metro line 6 eastbound, mush easier than navigating the city streets, with trams, bicycles, pedestrians!
