Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not an attraction as such but a nice little square which hosts at times music or film festivals. Surrounded by a few nice places to eat but could be put even more in value.

Ixelles Commune is situated there and it is sort of a cute place but not from a touristic point of view.

Walking down Chaussée d’Ixelles towards Place Fernand Cocq we were amazed to find it entirely pedestrianised because the pavements were already very large. But maybe it was only temporary because there were extensive works going on. The bus we intended to take on Place Fernand Cocq wasn’t running either. In fact, the square we knew had disappeared. The largest part of Place Fernand Cocq seems to have been turned into a playground by chopping down several big trees, installing bamboo-fenced flower beds, urban furniture greenery in planters and yet another boring splash fountain. The town hall of Ixelles stands a bit forlorn in a corner.

There is nothing of interest to tourists here, but on a sunny day the outside seating areas of the many cafes were packed and children were playing in the fountain, so we can understand why the locals would applaud this transformation.

Fernand Cocq is not much to see. I wouldn't even include Fernand Cocq in a list "what to see in Brussels" to my visitors. There are some cozy Cafés in the area and good Japanese restaurants.

It isn't an attraction area but a good square to sit by waiting for your bus after you have shopped on the main street. Located close to the commune. Nothing much to see specifically if you are not here by chance.

Recommendable for breakfast or a snack: SaléSucré, also brasserie Volle Gas, ... nice Town Hall of Ixelles, but Chaussée d'Ixelles very multi-culti, a lot of african small shops and restaurants .. connected with town-down De Brouckère by bus 71 in 15 minutes.

Could go out for a drink with friend, but this area won't be on the top of my list. Not for tourists.
