Review of: Brussels to Bicycle
I rented an e-bike, but soon the wheel broke down. There was a hole and I called the office to inform. They told me to manage myself or take a tram/bus back to the office for they were only two people and could not leave the office unattended to pick me up. We managed to change the tire with a spare inner tube we got in our own private kit (they don’t provide anything but the bike) and discovered that the air chamber in the wheel was from another tire and bigger size... we informed the office and they guaranteed a refund. Unfortunately, the day after, once we got the bike back, the officer told us that they knew nothing from the colleagues of the day before, so bye bye: no refund. On top, they noticed that originally the wheel was mounted in a wrong dangerous way, but they only told use. No excuse from them. No customer service and definitely no professionalism.…

Review of: Brussels to Bicycle
March 18, 2017 I went on a tour run by these people. There was no safety talk given at the start and no helmets were supplied or offered. The day was drizzly. Up to this date I cycled a small amount on a regular basis so I know how to cycle. Long story short. The tour leader took us along a street with wet tram tracks and gave no advice or warning to the group about how dangerous they can be. Although I was aware of the dangers myself I still ended up coming off the bike when the front wheel got caught in tram lines. The leader of the tour did offer to call an ambulance yet, at the same time, he was checking out the bike that I had fallen from for damage. It was very clear where his concerns lay. I was with friends and one of them accompanied me to the hospital. She had to return to the scene of the accident later to pick up her bike and return it. On returning the bike she learned that the tour doesn't normally go down this street with the tram tracks. I can't believe that he changed his route on a wet day. I also can't believe that he never offered a refund for the tour I missed out on. Let me add that I received 15 stitches to my knee and six months later I still have problems with it. But I guess his bike is fine.…

The guide is knowledgeable and quite keen on sharing all he knows with everyone. http://www.promenade-verte.be/ He's also able to adapt the ride to the level of the participants.

Review of: Brussels to Bicycle
Our group was large. Over 45 people. So we were split up in 3 more handy groups for a cycling tour through Brussels. The tourguide followed a very green itinerary along treelined avenues and with stops in every park or green square. In my opinion Brussels is a far more concrete jungle and less cyclist friendly but locals know of course the best ways for cycling safely and meeting the nicest spots. We passed along a lot of art nouveau houses, but in my opinion our guide didn't focus enough on them. The 2 other groups followed a slightly different parcours and their both guides talked more about architecture. We on the other hand got dozens of stories about the different parks in Brussels. Pro Velo delivered not only the 3 guides, but 45 bicycles as well. Good stuff, 8 gears. Recommended!…
