So after waiting in a queue for about 30 mins for a waffle the staff were very rude to me because I was waiting and she gave my waffle to someone else. When I questioned her she told me it was my fault for not being more visible?!? And the Brussels waffle wasn’t amazing! More crispy than fluffy. Go somewhere else, no point waiting for ages for rubbish horrible series and a mediocre waffle.

I ate waffles with my friends during Christmas holidays. We paid for one waffle too much, which was a mistake made by the staff. We asked for our money back, but the staff said they couldn't give it back in the restaurant. We had to send an email via their website, and they promised we would get our money back within 2 working days. They even signed our bill as a guarentee. However, it's February now and I still haven't received my money. BAD SERVICE!

Maison Dandoy is a Speculoos cookie specialist with a history that dates back to 1829. They have a handful of branches around Brussels including this place along Rue au Beurre near Grand Palace. Opening hours are 10am to 7pm daily.
We stopped by during a recent visit to Brussels and picked up a bag of speculoos biscuits to enjoy in our hotel room. Enjoyed the plain, covered with dark chocolate and the pain d'amandes as well. These were all good to have with a cup of coffee back in our home.
Have enjoyed Dandoy purchases during the past couple trips through Brussels. Will very likely stop here again during future visits to the city to enjoy their speculoos biscuits.

The cookies I bought were among my favorite I bought in Brussels. To be honest, I avoided the other locations because the lines were a little too daunting and ridiculous for me. If you're not dying for one of their waffles, go to the Rue au Buerre store for quicker service. I loved the little sayings on some of the products - they made me chuckle and I loved that they were in English. My French isn't good enough to understand all of the jokes.

This was THE experience I’m taking away from Brussels. Like waffles? Look nowhere else.
It was recommended by my tour guide and we decided to explore it.
Although the prices are on higher side but the experience is worth every penny. The quality is impeccable. The icecream flavours are limited but boy they’re awesome.
Full marks for hygiene, taste, quality and hospitality.

My husband and I visited for breakfast and each got our own Brussels style waffle and coffee and they were delicious! The taste was amazing, but the only downside for me is that with all the toppings piled onto the waffle, it can get a little soggy. Definitely go as close to opening as possible because they get busy fast!

Plenty of places to get waffles but we chose here MD is a chain and there are a number of outlets around the city

I purchased a selection of biscuits on a drab, dank Saturday afternoon.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The biscuits are as lovely as when I purchased them previously, many years before.

When we see a long line, sometimes we think, “I’m not that interested,” and other times we think, “This place must be great!” In this case, there was a line, but it was worth the wait.
First, think about the type of waffle you prefer - light and fluffy or thinner, sweeter, and more dense. Next, decide on your toppings - the semi-sweet cherries in juice are a particularly good complement to the flavor and texture of waffles. But there is a long list of toppings including ever-popular chocolate, whipped cream, ice cream and crunchy spéculos.
You watch the waffles being made, choose your toppings, and can take them outside to a table or go upstairs to a tearoom.
It’s worth the wait!
