Everything you need you can at Hem, it's a practical and ecomonical shop. They always have great sweets and this Hema have a lovely big resturant on the second floor.

Large store with a wide range of products of all kinds. Toys, clothing, stationery, food and more. You can find good quality products, at relatively affordable prices

We visited this place as we had read about the cheap breakfasts and our hotel was just around the corner. The store itself is like a $1 store but a little more expensive. Nothing uniquely Belgian here but you might pick up some cheap stuff that you need or things that are cheaper than in your own country. On the... More

We had discovered Hema while in Amsterdam and had to check out this one as well to buy some extra things to take back home. This store wasn't huge but we managed to find what we were looking for. It reminds me a bit of Target in the US but I prefer Hema. It can be a good place to... More

We have visited several Hemas whilst in Flanders, particularly in Amsterdam and Ghent. We actively sought this branch out! It was a large department store but only had a smallish selection of food. We still managed to buy plenty of cheap chocolate though - as good a quality but much cheaper than basic Belgian chocolates in the Belgian supermarkets!

We had never heard of this little gem but were delighted to discover it whilst holidaying in Brussels. It is basically a discount store that sells a smorgasbord of food, household items and beauty products. I especially loved the make-up section and more importantly the price. A great find!!

Even before the stores open, one can see the locals queueing up for the one-dollar breakfast at the cafe on the second floor. One euro gets you a croissant, a baguette with omelette and a cup of coffee. The price is simply a steal! Of course there're other optional add-ons like cheeses, bacons, orange juice, but this value meal gets... More

HEMA is dutch discount retail chain. We went to the store located on rue neuve, with rogiers the closest metro station. This place has got great deals and variety of products to choose from. Very popular among locals (judging by the no. Of customers on its 2 floors of shops). Its worth a visit for nice bargain deals.
