Fantastic couple of hours learning all about waffles, and then making & eating them! Lovely instructor (Vlada? Apologies if that's not correct) took her time to explain and demonstrate everything to the class and then the fun begins! Mixing all the ingredients, into the waffle iron and then cover them in a great choice of toppings. Delicious! Great fun for all the family. Thoroughly recommended.

My boys and I attended the chocolate making and museum tour activity. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The teacher was very helpful , funny and good. We ate too much chocolate and made loads of lollipops and chocolate sweets. You get to take everything you make. Then there’s the museum tour and another class where the teacher shows you how they make pralines. It was well worth it and a great treat for me for mothers day. Highly recommend it. It was me , my adult son and my 12 year old son.

Our guide picked us up at the Grand Place and I really enjoyed our short walking tour from the GP to the waffle making kitchen. We learned about the difference between Liege (Street) Waffles which are meant to be eaten without toppings because the batter is sweet; and Brussels Waffles which are crispier and less sweet. Then we were put into groups of 3 to learn how to mix our batter & how to use the waffle iron. To make the perfect waffles is so simple when you know the little tricks and what not to do! We made the mistake of having a late lunch before the workshop. Very important to not eat right before the workshop, you get to eat as many waffles that you make or anybody else taking the lesson makes (no one in our class cooked all the batter). The batter that you make as a group of 3 can easily make 16 to 20 large waffles. They also provide all kinds of toppings including local treats so you can try out different ones to see what you like or don't like!

I was really looking forward to this experience based on the many reviews. I was expecting to make the sweet Belgium waffles with the yeast based dough. That is not what you will make. They make the “Brussels waffle” which is basically the same recipe as you might have at home. My husband and I were paired with another couple as there were 12 in our group which was a bit annoying since there was one group of two and clearly enough space for us all as to not have to work with another couple. The waffles were ok. There were several toppings placed in the center of the table (for 12 people) so if you wanted something you had to get up and reach between people to get it. The drink you are served was water, tea, or juice and only a couple people were offered refills. The guide was nice and tried to make it interesting but overall it did not meet my expectations for the price. Save your money and buy one of the delicious looking waffles in the store!

This activity lived up to me expectations. The host (can’t remember her name) was lovely and made everyone feel welcome and involved. We learned about the different types of waffle and made Belgian waffles from a simple recipie. All toppings etc provided and we even had enough left over to take back for the next day. Really enjoyable couple of hours. Thanks

I paid for the Waffle workshop and received the confirmation email but when I turn up to the meeting point with the voucher. The staff told me the workshop is not open to public today. I have only two days in Brussels and I need to fly back home tomorrow. This is ridiculous and I come all the way to the workshop and the staff offer me to come back tomorrow but I need to return home tomorrow. The system should not confirm my booking if the workshop is not operate. I am really depressed and wasted my time in Brussels as I was looking forward for this. I would recommend anyone who wants to join this workshop in the future need to call the workshop in advance. The booking system only know how to accept payment and not knowing whether the workshop is operate or not even it says available. I need to have a refund for this!!!

We enjoyed the tour and waffle making (kids ages 7 and 11) but were hoping to make our favorite type of Belgian gaufres, the Liege type, but these are more like regular waffles. Still yummy but would have liked to know beforehand...

I'd been in Brussels for about a week endlessly searching for a vegan waffle (it's Brussels I must have a waffle!) and I could not find a single shop that did a good authentic vegan waffle, until I discover that the waffle workshop provides ingredient and instructions to accommodate any dietary need! I just had to do this tour! It was fantastic! The waffles were delicious, some people even said they preferred the vegan ones over the regular!

This is an absolute must do while in Brussels! Make sure you book ahead because space fills up fast!!

To be completely honest, I did enjoy the Waffle Workshop - but it took a bit of effort to have to work as part of such a large group.
Attending the workshop with my boyfriend, thinking we would be able to make and eat and the waffles in the world together - no. Having to work as part of a group and making sure all the ingredients have been added and whos mixing, whos pouring, whos eating with what toppings - bit stressy.
There wasn't enough toppings to go around the whole group which was pretty annoying too.
Wasnt too bothered about learning about the history of waffles - we was just eager to eat them!
But Titch is really lovely and you get a free drink to wash down the waffles. I would recommend purely because you're in Brussels.
