Its nothing extra to see there, but if you have time you can visit this museum, has some nice pictures. Liked the modern pictures from 19-20th century, and the cameras exhibited there as well.

The permanent collection is in itself worth a visit and with the additional funding the museum will get this year they should be able to have three special exhibitions each year (we were told by the very friendly staff at the reception desk). The kids' section is also very well done, so it is a good family outing destination as... More

Museum hosted in an ancient cloister depicting the history of photopraphy from the early beginnings to modern age. Awesome rooms and a very reasonable price. The museum café is a peaceful place before having a stroll in the parc.

Nice museum. Totally worth the 7 euro ticket. It is located in a monastery, what gives the museum a lot of charm. What i didn't like is that photos didn't have English explanation. For us non French speakers quite difficult. That is photography but sometimes you need to read to understand it. The building itself is a little tricky. You... More

We came here to see the Stephan Vanfleteren exhibition which was beautiful. In fact this is the second time I come to photography museum and come away pleased. They always have great exhibitions and the fact that this building used to be a cloister add to the museum's charm.

Great museum with always really interesting exhibitions! The only negative point is its distance from Charleroi and how to go there. If you don't have a car, it sounds a bit as an expedition...

I visited with my wife and our dog (in a bag). The staff only spoke French (despite us trying Flemish) and (unsmilingly) would not allow us to enter with the dog. Nothing on their website or signage to say No Pets. Other than that, the museum is awesome to anyone interested in photography or history. Plenty of displays, well laid... More

The museum is located in an old abbey. There are temporary exhibitions & photography throughout the different centuries. It's quit impressive & a wonderful place to wander around (its's big enough!). When the weather is nice, you can sit outside in the large garden.

Museums should be interesting, educational and in some cases entertaining. The Musée de la Photographie in Mont Sur Marchienne on the southern outskirts of Charleroi in Belgium ticks all these boxes and so much more. The museum covers every emotion and feeling ranging from pleasure, intrigue, curiosity, puzzlement, disgust and horror. I thoroughly enjoyed this visit, not just as a... More
