During our visit, there was an expo on Japanese clothing. It was an interesting exposition in a beautiful building. The amount of pieces displayed was rather limited which was disappointing. It took us only 45 minutes to see it all. Maybe this is a selling point to convince men to visit this museum.

Big building but nothing much inside, expected more from this, expected more the history of fashion, luckily the entrance was only 6 euros.

After visiting this fashion museum in Hasselt, I visited the fashion museum in Antwerp. I've also seen some fashion exhibitions in other places (e.g. Centraal museum in Utrecht), and everytime I wonder what makes the displayed clothes more special than others. It seems they just make a selection of creations from a local designer, and maybe the clothes are supposed... More

Was there for the Stadstriennale Trademarks festival. Part of the museum is in a small, interesting historical building. Nice curation with pieces from Alexander McQueen, Raf Simons, Vivienne Westwood, Hermes, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Dior, etc. I liked how you could be close up to the fashion but the layout of the museum was pretty weird and cramped, and some... What an enjoyable experience! We were lucky as for the moment there is a special "Haute-à-Porter exhibition going on. All the great and grand are shown, some amazing, others ridiculous but all of the creations are special. Go and see for yourselves!

Every time when I am in Hasselt, I go to this museum. With family I went to "Hello, my name is Paul" exhibition. I love this designer's work, so it's great to see his work in a museum. This expo has a fun side, just like his designs. Walking through a labyrinth, every room has a fashion story. Some rooms... More

When we went there was a display of 1920's fashion - which was interesting to see but was quite small - and it is hard to spend more than 30 minutes unless you are a true fashionista.

The gentleman who greeted us on entry was fantastic! My daughters aged 14 & 12 and I saw the Paul Smith exhibit & all thoroughly enjoyed.

This museum is an ald cityfarm, that in the past already had a distillery of genever. Interestng to know is that the Belgian genever is the "mother" of other spirits as gin and whisky.

I've visited the ModeMuseum several times as I live just around the corner... From time to time there are free tours with a guide offered by the city and often I take that offer. Each time I was impressed by the well kept museum, showing interesting aspects of how people dressed through the ages; on top of that the guide... More
