About
The F1 circus rumbles onto the famous Grand Prix circuit at Spa-Francorchamps in August or September every year, bringing with it thousands of pan-European spectators eager to immerse themselves in two days of Porsche Supercup races, practice laps and qualifiers. The big race itself blasts off at 2pm on Sunday for 305 km (190.5 miles) of fume-filled, nail-biting, high-speed tension.

    Grand prix F1
The course is beautiful and in a very nice area. Making a Formula 1 race with this is spectacular! However, the organization leaves something to be desired.. This is the second year we come, the entrance open an hour later than stated, the parking open half an hour later than stated so people are stuck, the parking longer than 2 hours without any information for the parked on Sunday to go home,... Too bad because this also makes the experience very frustrating.

    Well worth a visit
Visited Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps this year for the 2024 Grand Prix and came via Leger Coaches. One benefit of this is we didn’t need to use public transport nor worry about parking our own vehicle. The track itself was easy to get into and security made it simple and quick (approx 10-15 min Que time) lots of merchandise stores on the lead up to the track and scattered around the track (prices inflated) Food stalls where scattered everywhere and easy accessible, you had to use a pre paid card to purchase anything within the track. The race itself is amazing and even with Bronze tickets you could get great views (if you know where to go) On the race day it does get crowded as expected so it’s best to prepare and take some food and drink in with you. Toilets (females) can get busy as there’s not that many around, men’s toilets are everywhere and never seemed to have Que As always plan for every weather condition you never know what Spa is going to chuck at you .

    Great experience overall
Overall a good experience but the parking issue is recurring each year and they seem to not do anything about it. The event itself is amazing, you get to watch your favorite drivers and team in action, and there's plenty other entertaining activities, such as historic af1 presentations, F2 and F3 racing events and concerts. But when it comes to getting there and leaving the site, it is absolutely terrible. We had tickets for the Green Zone but this is happening in all areas. Fridays are slightly better, since it's only practice day and there are not so many visitors. But Saturday we spent 3h to exit the parking and another 45 min to reach the highway, and another 3h 40min to exit the parking and 30 min to reach the highway on Sunday. Everything gets jammed and there's nobody to coordinate the cars when exiting. So be prepared to lose a lot of time. The minimum they could do since this issue is not new is to put some eco toilets in the parking but that doesn't happen either.

Every F1 fan needs to experience this at least once, if they can.
Absolutely stunning track. So beautiful. I think it is something any motorsport fan needs to be able to experience at least once. Seeing Eau Rouge/ Radillon in person - nothing can prepare you for that and you get a stunning view of it from the Fan Zone! However, this track is not for the faint hearted. Bring your walking boots! It was a 25-45 mins walk from the car parking each day, which is in fields so if it rains (which it will!) you may need the help of your fellow motorists to push you out (& you will help them!) Luckily everyone is so friendly and there is a real "pitch in" attitude! The food is very expensive (of course!) and everywhere needs their token system EXCEPT the fan zone, where you can choose to pay by Euro OR token. You get a little card and load it with tokens at many places around the track. Toilets at the fanzone are brilliant for a race circuit. Almost spotlessly clean the WHOLE weekend and plenty of them so I rarely had to queue there. We had tickets for Eau Rouge and up there were obviously less facilities but all was still clean, just a bit more queueing, so "go" at the fanzone, before you walk up, if you can! Seeing the race from the Eau Rouge grandstand was worth every mile walked and every penny spent. I will never , ever forget it. Absolutely brilliant.

visited 3 days for the F1 2022 Race.
If possible, don't bring your own car. Parking is 20€ a day now just to park on a dirty field of grass and hope that you will be able to make it out of the lot within an hour given the utterly bad organisation and guiding from the organisers. I highly recommend leaving 3-4 laps before race finish and rushing to your car, if you don't want to waste 3 extra hours in traffic. Bring your own food and drinks(!!!) Bring a chair or some kind of cushion since your butt will sit on hard a** stones and dirt for a long time.

Beautiful area and surrounding mountains and adorable Belgian towns. Hilly, interesting track surrounded by lush trees and forest. As for the event….Parking a nightmare, and you must park near seats/where you will watch. It can take an hour or more to navigate through and under and around track, longer with rain and muddy conditions with changes in elevation around the track. Signage is poor and walkways narrow and jammed on Sat and Sun. Note, very Dangerous shuttle bus conditions to yellow parking with no staff/security around - buses so full people were shoving and feared being crushed. Others waited in de francorps for long periods for buses to return. Bring a poncho or more than one. Layers too as you will be hot and cold in the same day. That said, a lovely track and fan base to watch Max win! A gorgeous part of the world to visit.

Great track, amazing views, Fanzone fantastic & racing superb. Now for the negatives. Food & drink is an absolute rip off so make sure you take your own. For all the women reading this be prepared to see men weeing everywhere - loads of open urinals, hardly any cubicles for us & those there are either have men in or supplies for the cleaner! A row of about 8 cubicles had 2 locked with loo roll in! Don’t look into the wooded areas either as they’re full of men peeing aswell.. The organisers need to realise that woman like watching F1 too! Don’t try to go down the hill from the Kemmel Straight after any kind of race - the path is too thin so it turns into a bottle neck with one line going down & 6 wide coming up! Took 30 mins to get down after the F3 race. Get there mega early on race day to get a decent space or you have no chance of seeing the track. Thank goodness we had good weather! Great experience but would never go again.

We explain that there is a shuttle from Vervier station. You start by lining up 40 minutes to buy your shuttle ticket, a single ticket office for several hundred people. 45 minutes shuttle and they drop you 3 or 4 km from the entrance of the source, pb we are at its peak! And there is nothing planned to move you other than on foot and when you know a little bit about the circuit it is not cool.
And for the return always on foot and the shuttle that lets you cook 30 minutes before starting and it was not too hot...
Results you pay a blind to hit you more than 15 clamp terminals. Only good thing, the burger we eat at lunch.

What a terribly organised event! We visited for both the qualifying and main race. Firstly the parking was atrocious! We booked parking for the green ‘car park’ several months ago. The queues were long and the car park a 30 min walk from the circuit. On the Saturday it rained which made it extremely difficult to get out of the car park.

The following day the directions and road closures made it difficult to even find how to get to the car park! Our sat nav would plan a route, only to find the road closed.

Upon parking, everyone had to walk down a long, muddy path to the track. Anyone a bit older or could not walk easily would have really struggled.

Security was not much better either. Big queues in some lanes and others just strolling straight through

Completely inadequate toilets inside causing big queues.

In the Grandstand at Combes there are very few screens meaning a big chunk of the spectators can’t see what’s going on.

Exiting the event wasn’t any better either. Huge queues and no easy way to join the main road.

Considering how expensive tickets are, we felt extremely disappointed with the facilities. People voiced similar frustrations last year, yet nothing has been done!

Rubbish.

What a complete ripoff. Arrived to find a field that is a 50min walk to the entrance ( they do have a shuttle bas but it’s full and takes 1.5 hours to return) let’s look at the “campsite” A field with 2 people who do not have a clue how to park vans arriving. Sent to queue with people trying to find electric hook ups. I did not need the electric but sent their anyway. They do NOT provide transport back to the field. You have to make your own way back without and signage. When l asked why it’s so far from the track l was told it’s because they were unable to get a site any nearer the track. They do not care about anything other then conning you out of paying to park on a field that is not even suitable for race fans to enjoy a stress free weekend..

Yikes. Walked miles through mud to our seats. Then miles back to a shuttle. Men were urinating everywhere, on the road, in the streets. Attaching a photo of bathroom lines. There were so few shuttles that when the doors opened, people rushed them. It was a stampede hazard. People were shouting for their children to put their arms in front of them to avoid being crushed. I was pulled onto the bus by a kind individual. I almost lost my kids in the crush of bodies. As I was the last one on, there was no room. I had to ride smashed against the glass with my arms above me. I worry for those with canes, wheelchairs, babies, pregnant women. I wonder if anyone got seriously hurt or trampled. There was no crowd control nor could the crowd control itself. Very dangerous. This is my second race. Monza did not have these problems.

Having been to Silverstone many times we decided to go to Spa. We had tickets for Speed Corner which was great as the changing weather meant we had quite a bit of action in front of us. However had the weather been dry we would have been disappointed- that’s right we cheered for rain!
We had been warned how hilly it was but walking from our entrance at Blanchimont to Speed Corner was badly signposted and took us an hour - up hill. The map was deceptive as there were some one way systems in effect that were pointless. This made the walk unnecessarily long. We wanted to walk round the circuit over the course of the weekend but once we were in our seats we stayed in that area. Even for the Sunday track walk.
Yes, it rained so much and we were grateful for good quality ponchos but you expect nothing else in the Ardennes.
The lack of signs and direct routes took the edge off our weekend but we still had a great time. If I was to go again I would ask more people for advice about where to sit considering where our campsite was.

Going to a grand prix is expensive but it is an absolutely amazing experience.

A few tips:
Book your accommodation as early as possible and if you can try and find somewhere to stay near Stavelot or any of the villages nearby. We stayed in Theux and used the free car park at Stavelot and cycled to the track each day. Even on race day it took us just 30 minutes to cycle back to the van and 35 minutes to drive back to Theux, 95% of the traffic goes the other way, there were people on social media complaining that they were still stuck in the car park as we sat down for a cold beer.

Take a small back pack and make some sandwiches to take in along with a few drinks, NB. no glass.

Be prepared for a lot of walking, allow 30/40 minutes to get to your stand, try and use the service road through the centre of the track rather then the gravel paths round the perimeter of the track.

Pay the extra money for a numbered seat in one of the stands, we had great seats in gold 3 Eau Rouge. This stand has good clean toilets and plenty of food and drink outlets.

When leaving on race day go onto the track, you get great views and get out quicker.

Great race..horribly organised. I’ve been to a lot of large sporting events but never had a parking situation like Spa. Ridiculous waiting times to get in and out of the car park, then huge queues to get in and out of the track.

To get out on the Sunday there was a tiny single lane trying to let 100s of cars out which took hours. Such a shame that they leave this as the final experience..just improve the parking and it would be a 5*
