It a nice cave which you could visit but have to walk quite a lot inside. You should take the guided tour to understand the rock formation and history of the caves. Just walking about it alone will not be of any use. A good place to visit but not a must visit.

It was a small entrance to a great hall. The tranquility and the chilly ambiance of the cave took me back to the prehistoric age. It's a nature museum ,where history greets twenty first century. Time is carved into beautiful shapes in every other turn that you take. It's a treasure chest waiting to embrace you . The soul of the... More

Lucky enough to be part of a private visit to the caves. Hard hats with lights are provided and make sure you wear non slip shoes as it is wet underfoot. it does get cold when in the depths of the caves. We had the task of finding bottles of Fiz in the caves a good fun time. Some areas... More

A surprise trip to the caves was arranged for our group. A treasure hunt was organised for us as a added incentive if one were needed. It's a little claustrophobic in places and very chilly underground but an interesting trip with a great story about how they were used during the war.

I wouldn't call it "the marvellous", like its French name, 'cause i've seen far more beautiful ones, but it's quite nice and well explained. about 50 min tour in 2-3 languages. Lot's of steps up to go out! The gift shops it's a bit creepy......

The Groote de Dinant is a wonderful cave! The tour takes ~40min and the staff are soooo friendly. Overpriced, but totally worth it!! Unfortunately, not feasible for frail people - lots and lots of stairs - as expected for a cave.

The cave is very nice and the guide is very keen to tell the story about the history of the cave, which was discovered only some 100 years ago. The reception/cafe/shop is a bit scruffy but the staff is friendly and speak English.

Picked these caves as they allowed dogs (had done Han caves before and the other one we found that allowed dogs was closed). Very friendly welcome and the tour was very good and interesting with plenty of time to look around at the various formations found inside the caves.

I decided to visit the caves as a way of getting out of the 33 oC heat above ground and knew it would be cooler. It was and pleased I was on many levels. 9 Euros to enter (Adult). Constant 12-14 oC year round, a guide that spoke several languages, one being English giving salient points regarding the history &... More
