Not bad at all, was interesting and not that expensive (6 euros,10 general entrance) and I got a nice view from the city. Heard that you can get better view from one of the church's towers but cant remember which.

Not all that much to see inside unless you are into torture! The visit is best for the view from the top over the City.

Whatever I write here will fall short against the well kept grand castle Gravensteen. Amidst the very busy city you cannot even begin to imagine the wonderful places you will find inside it. It indeed worth one of your afternoon.

Well, it was okay when it was free for locals. Tried the experience ad a paid costumer and oh my god, what a rip off. Not worth the money at all. Like seriously, don't spend it there. Keep it and buy as many waffles as possible with it. It will be more fulfilling than visiting the castle.

We visited this place as a family and found it a really interesting and informative site. Plenty of eateries close by worthing of a couple of hours.

A pleasant visit - the castle is well restored and the exhibits very well presented. Lacking in quantity, so not a lengthy visit, but quality of display is very good. Some description, in multiple languages, but lacking depth in this area. Views from the roof are excellent. €10 pp at time of visit, and didn't mind paying that. A required... More

The Castle is in Ghent, a short 30 mins train ride from Brussels Midi Station. It's well maintained, or should I say well restored. There were strong winds when we were there, that at times we could hear the howling outside when we were indoors, that added to the chills of the environment. The weapons and armour room was interesting,... More

It's worth a visit! very nice castle restored recently. the visit would take you 45min but the views from the top 360 to Ghent are very nice! they also have a torture small exposition inside.

Good route around the castle with plenty of information and signage. Probably not good wheelchair access to all places there are some steep spiral staircases to tackle

Lots of history and great views. Lovely and cool on a hot summers day. The only negative is that a lot of the commentary was only in Dutch (which my husband could read). I would give this visit at least half a day. You also need to have reasonable fitness as there is a lot of climbing narrow winding stair... More
