Nice Castle very well preserved

The castle is very well taken care of. Inside you can see an exposition of weapons and torture objects. Worth the price of the ticket.

If you have a good health, and good shoe's, no sore legs, then you can climb the stairs to the Torture Hall of a medieval castel, where you get the explanation by a warden.

This castle was entirely renew and it's amazing. You can not miss that when visiting the city. The "tour" is well organized in 15 stops and we could enjoyed the exposition of old arms and armors from the middle age. Even in January the inside rooms are warm up which is good when the weather is bad outside! A great... More

very cool but if you don't like climbing steps, I wouldn't recommend. For those that are able, the view from the top is awesome.

Beautifully preserved medieval castle in the middle of the city of Gent. Wonderful to visit, stroll through it, and to admire the view from the tower. A lot of stairs though! Also a bit confusing that apart from the castle itself and some info on it, there was an exhibition on medieval torture instruments, and also a children's fairy tale... More

Located adjacent to the city centre, the castle makes for a great visit. An imposing building itself, it has a well laid out self-guided tour and offers wonderful views of the city centre from its ramparts. Enjoyed our visit immensely.

This place is great, the tour is very nicely organized, you get to walk in all of the rooms and experience/imagine how it was to live in this place back in the medieval days. you can also take some stunning photos of the city from the top of the castle as this offers great views.

If as a kid you were dreaming of knights and their castles, your dream just came true! Right in the city center stands an authentic fortress of the middle ages. Beautifully maintained and restored. Just walking around the moat makes you dream away already to a time of knights, honor and battles. Inside is equally amazing. There is also a... More
