There are several beautiful churches in Ghent and this is one of them. It was a lovely church and we were lucky enough to visit while there was an organ practice taking place. It was just nice to sit and listen and look at the beautiful surroundings.

This 13th-century church of Gothic construction is a lovely structure and is worth the time to appreciate if you have an interest in this type of site at all. The outside is massive and has several architectural nuances that are interesting, especially on the east side of the building. But the artwork and religious symbolism on the inside is what... More

The inside of this church is quite plain but the history behind it and it's age are very interesting. The altar is very special and should not be missed.

You can't visit Ghent without going to one of the churches or cathedrals. The architecture is stunning and it is well worth a visit. In the centre so easy to get to with public transport and situated close to other attractions too.

Interior of the church is large and impressive with some beautiful stained glass windows. Interior is under reconstruction so don't expect to find pews, instead you will find plastic chairs. However, if you are lucky you will get to hear the organist playing, quite impressive. Church is free and they do conduct daily masses (08:00 M-F, 10:00 Sunday). Worth a... More

Not the best to see and do in Ghent. This church is on your way and close to everything in the center. Otherwise would not worth the visit. Major renovation and not much to see.

Located in the city center, not far from the cathedral and the Belfry, St.Nicolas church is one of the oldest church in Ghent. It is a nice, large gothic church. The church is build from gray stone and it is impressive not only by its facade, but also inside. It is a must see for tourists who visit Gent.

The architecture of this lovely church is unusual. You enter at the side of the church and the old pulpit is right in front of you. So much detail! They are trying to restore the church and to your left, you see glass doors leading to the main entrance. In this area, the pillars are painted and they've done a... More
