The inside of this town hall is quite beautiful, at least to my taste. I enjoyed especially the rooms with many red comfy armchairs surrounded by gorgeous paintings. Wow! In one room, there is a gorgeous chimney made of gold or bronze and a golden statue at the top. There is a little park in the middle of the town... More

This building is beautiful and has been restored very well after the war. It is well worth booking on the inexpensive tour to see the inside of the hall which is just as beautiful and learn some more about the hall.

After being in Leuven many, many times. This time we took the opportunity to visit the Town Hall. Got a ticket in the morning at the tourist office for a guided visit at 3 PM. The guide (we took the english speaking tour, because the dutch speaking was "overbooked) was pretty cool, gave enough info but not too much, showed... More

Being Xmas the town had put red carpet down the main Street leading to town hall. Upon arriving we were taking aback at how wonderfully intricate design features. It's right... More

Leuven is very pretty especially around Christmas time as the city hall is lit up.and the Christmas market with pet farm and nice little eateries. Really enjoyed our time.

Leuven (in French Louvain) is only 30 minutes away from Brussels by car or by train. It is home To the first and oldest university in Europe (1425). I visited again (this time during the Christmas period) with my daughter. We enjoyed the beautiful old buildings, the town hall, the relaxed (restricted car access) and youthful (university students) and the... More

We were note able to have a tour inside because people were getting married at the time but just the outside of this building is amazing! And with the Christmas lights it was really beautiful.
