15 minutes walk from the center, here you can find peace and quiet places to sit and relax. Just close to old windmills and with an excellent view on the towers of the city. So beautiful!

This was one of our favorite experiences in Bruges. It was nice to escape the crowds and walk part of the perimeter of the walled town.

Very pleasant walk walk on a levee with the city skyline on one side and a canal where the occasional barge passes by on the other and four beautifully kept windmilles to admire. Bruges Art Route is a misnomer: it should be called Windmills Route.

This can be found on the outskirts of the city. There were not may people around when we visited as it was later in the afternoon & also being out of the city centre means it requires a walk to get there.

We were able to go up into a windmill and take a look at some of the historic information of how they were used. It was very interesting.

Didn't realize this was a route, but ran through it on my morning run around the city. Working windmills turning in the breeze, lovely canal view, please stroll (or jog).

We enjoyed our walk to the windmills. Pleasant views are all around! On one side is the ancient architecture of Bruge and the other side is a pretty park with bicycle path.

If you visit Kruispoort gate, within a few meters are 4 windmills. Just wander along the canal to see them, One has a museum, the others were closed (June 2017), but the walk is nice and the trees along the canal make this a very...More

Some of the windmills are open at certain times of the year, but despite not founding one open, the riverside walk to the windmills, is so lovely. And the panoramic views are amazing!

The walk can be as long as you want it to be, it all depends how long you want to spend at the various venues along the way. We just allowed a morning to enjoy it and when in the centre you can deviate off and then... More
