We recently went on the Quasimodo tour of Flanders Fields and beyond. Our guide Philippe was first class. He spoke excellent English and his knowledge and passion was quite incredible. He really is a master on this subject. He shared many stories with us, being a local man and his grandparents had lived through both wars. It was a very... More

This tour was both moving and fascinating at the same time. Our excellent guide Philippe having a deep connection to Flanders, being a local man whose grandparents lived through both wars in one of the key villages. Philippe shared family history passed down as well as using factual knowledge gained over the years. A brilliant tour and must if travelling... More

Our guide Philippe shared so much knowledge - and adapted the tour when he found out we were from Canada, taking us to many sites involving Canadian soldiers. It was also interesting to know how the war still touches people's lives on a daily basis in Flanders. It is heartwarming to know that the sacrifices made by these soldiers is... More

My two friends and I had such an interesting day under the guidance of Philippe, who spoke perfect English and was so knowledgable about the Great War and, in particular, Flanders Fields. It was a long day but there was so much to see and we were very comfortable in the minibus between stops. We learnt so much and were... More

We planned this tour before we left the US and the communication level with this small independently run tour company is outstanding! Phillipe was the bus driver and tour director and his level of knowledge is exemplary! The small bus meets travelers at a central location in Bruges, and takes you to the major sites in the Ypres area. A... More

Recently took this tour with my husband whilst visiting Bruges. Phillippe was in charge of us on the day and he was extremely knowledgable and gave a lot of interest information and facts. You can opt to stay in Ypres for the last post at the Menin gate as well, we didn't do this but a few people on the... More

This is a must do tour to see the important sites of WW1. Our guide Phil is a font of all knowledge and very good English speaker. When booking it seemed like a very long day but it doesn't feel it when going from site to site, was like a good old fashioned school trip except I learnt a lot... More

We planned this tour before leaving for Europe and it was one of the best decisions we made when arranging our two weeks. We opted for Menin Gate at the end of the day which gave us a chance to visit Ypres longer and experience the Menin Gate ceremony. A perfect way to end an amazing day with transportation arranged... In September we went to pick up a rental car to visit the grave site of my great uncle. When we discovered we needed an International Driver's License we decided to take Quasimodo's Battlefields of WWI tour. We were able to sit back and relax while Phillipe did the driving, knew all the places to visit, and passed on his... More

This tour was so comprehensive and great value for money. Phil was an absolute fountain of knowledge on WW1 and took every opportunity to share it with us. The range of sights covered was excellent and we came away feeling as though we'd done something invaluable with our trip to Bruges. The inclusive lunch was also excellent and a lovely,... More
