The most romantic and adventurous way to discover Bruges is undoubtedly by hot air balloon. Bruges Ballooning offers, in exclusive co-operation with the city of Bruges, balloon flights over the centre of Bruges. Daily departures at sunrise and 2 hours before sunset. A one-hour balloon trip takes you over the city of Bruges, and it's wonderful surrounding castles and fields. Champagne and hotel pick-up are included.

They were very safety conscious and really focused on the safety of our two young children (one of whom is a baby). Gave great commentary. Took photos for us. Created a magical experience with champagne and pastries at the end. Engaged my 4 year old son in helping to put the hot air balloon away by allowing him to jump on the material once it was packed away!
He worked hard to ensure a safe and soft landing given that we had the children. This was absolutely, hands down the best experience that all of us had in our monthlong trip to Europe.
Bravo!
Both Christophe and the gentleman he had helping on the ground were wonderful with the kids and so kind. Really loved the experience and really appreciated how focused on safety they were.
He worked hard to ensure a safe and soft landing given that we had the children. This was absolutely, hands down the best experience that all of us had in our monthlong trip to Europe.
Bravo!
Both Christophe and the gentleman he had helping on the ground were wonderful with the kids and so kind. Really loved the experience and really appreciated how focused on safety they were.

What a wonderful way to see Bruges, from a hot air ballon. The town of Bruges from the air and on the ground is spectacular! Christophe is an excellent pilot and the ground crew were great. We highly recommend!!

This was an incredible experience and an absolute must if you are in Bruges. Our pilot Christophe is the best in the business, he will show you the most magical views of the city. An enjoyable experience from the moment we were collected from our accommodation. We were all able to help with the assembly and launch procedure which enhanced the experience. We floated over the beautiful Bruges and surrounds, Christophe the expert gliding us over the trees and the wheat fields and landing us with 10/10 precision. We had a breakfast to remember after landing. An experience that will be hard to beat. Don't hesitate, just treat yourself and book the experience of a lifetime. Thankyou Christophe and Kristian!!!

I am terrified of heights, and really not good doing something where I am not in control so I was a little nervous (to put it mildly) about this whole idea but decided to trust that my husband, as it was he who booked it, was not entirely insane. He had done a balloon ride some years ago so knew a little more of what to expect.
The whole experience was AMAZING. We were collected early Friday morning, driven to the outskirts of Bruges and very quickly found ourselves ready to climb in to the basket. We needed to be up and away qluickly as the weather was due to change a little later and Christophe and Martin (the ground crew) wanted to get the best of the day.
Climbing in to the basket was a little lacking in elegance but within a few minutes we were all in, another couple and a family group, and off we went.
Take off was so gentle, the ground just slowly got left behind, with no real sensation and then we were at the mercy of the air currents.
I started looking just at the horizon whilst I got used to the feelings, but eventually began to look lower and lower, eventually looking down and watching a rabbit running around in a field, with its tail bobbing around.
The sensations of movement & height are not easy to describe - they are unique, in my view - but I would say that if you are nervous there is really no need to be.
I can see how ballooning can be completely addictive, the peace, views and sensations are fabulous and not be be missed.
As you may be able to guess, I was also nervous of the concept of landing but we had a great experience, touching down gently and remaining upright. The worst bit of the whole experience for me was trying to get out of the basket - I had climbed out and needed to jump down about a 30cm - I really struggled to do it as it felt like I as jumping 30m to me! That shows what I am like with heights.
The morning was rounded off with champagne, breakfast pastries and a ride back to Bruges.

We did a flight with 5 adults and 2 small children in our party and it was wonderful! The communication was timely and accurate. We were picked up on time and delivered to the take off site where we proceeded to help as instructed and then get in for our ride. We had perfect weather for the flight, enjoyed our time with our awesome pilot, and I was almost disappointed by our boring landing due to the amazing weather. I would totally recommend this tour-its a beautiful way to see Bruges and if a morning flight, you’re back in time for a full day. Thanks Bruges Ballooning!

You just HAVE to do this when in Brugge, a fantastic experience for sure! It was a bucket list item and I'm so happy I did it, will repeat for sure when in Brugge again. Thanks Christophe for an awesome flight!

It was an amazing experience, Bruges Ballooning and our professional pilot Christophe Saeys are the best. Going up and being in the basket of the balloon is the way to check the sensations of freedom and tranquility in the air, I invite you to live this experience.

I'm afraid we close from November to March. Back in April!
Weather does not really allow many flights during winter, and it can be very cold, windy and rainy.

Hello Ewa,
As I'm answering this message I recognize your name and I see you already booked your flight. I wanted to say that both are very beautiful - some days however mornings can be misty. Other mornings can be heavenly. Evenings can be too windy sometimes, for us to fly, but the light can be really beautiful.... and you don't have to get out of bed early!
Every flight is truly different. As your pilot, I would say give us a call when you arrive in Bruges and we'll take you for what we think will be the best slot that day or those days.
