Bruges' City Hall (1376) is one of the oldest in the Low Countries. It is from here that the city has been governed for more than 600 years. An absolute masterpiece is the Gothic Hall, with its late 19th-century murals and polychrome vault. The adjoining historic hall calls up the city council's history with a number of authentic documents and works of art. A multimedia exhibition on the ground floor illustrates the evolution of the Burg Square.

this city hall is striking with its gothic architecture all restored to its magnificants. The stories of the paintings are interesting.

Stadhuis must be one of the world’s most impressive town halls - and one of the most beautiful buildings in a city containing only beautiful buildings. Go inside as well. It’s also magnificent - and you can learn more about the sculptures on the facade.

This is truly a splendid place! The ceiling is fantastic (as are most churches and museums) and the wall paintings are vivid and bright. Good bet!

Included in the museum pass (3 days, 14 different locations). The Gothic Hall with the murals and the polychrome vault is absolutely worth the visit.

It's a must visit place. The Bruges City Hall is 600 years old city hall. Inside is very beautiful but small. We purchased a museum pass that gave us access two places. It is worth visiting upstairs as the decoration in the city hall is worth paying...More

State hall and small history room forms the museum. It is quite small visit. Can be best for people who love arts on walls and to understand the story behind it. History room covers the short history - politically from ~1400 till date.

This is the beautiful building dominating Burg square. The actual main hall inside is magnificent. It will not take long to visit as the interesting part is one room. It is worth to pay the entrance fee to see the main hall.
