This was a square just off from the Christmas Markets and it is really nice. This time of year it had a big Christmas tree and there were plenty of people around it and in the square enjoying themselves.

Huge square , interesting buildings and church , some 3 or 4 restaurants , very close ( a small alley apart ) from historic centre. Places to sit and relax.

Can it be true? We just stumbled upon ANOTHER beautiful, historic square in all of the gorgeous architecture of Brugge! Here you'll find even more incredible buildings and charming cobblestones, and tucked in the corner with gilded statues is the Basilica of the Holy Blood, a hidden gem with a wonderful story and and amazing details within. The first time... More

Fantastic architecture, fantastic eateries what more can I say...... definitely worth a visit if not just to people watch. The place was so busy but still had a chilled calm about it as did all Bruges. We experienced it during the day as well as the evening when all the buildings were lit up. What a beautiful place to visit... More

The second square of Bruges which is surrounded by historic architecture and most impressively, the City Hall. Must visit.

Stunning buildings, outstanding menus and more beers than anywhere else on the planet, or so it seemed. Pricy in the centre but better value down side streets. Lots to see, and if you like chocolate it's in the very air... Beer...lots of beer with Duval outstanding

All ready for the Christmas market two days after we arrived, so had the place to ourselves for a few days before the hoards of tourist that weekend. But it didn't spoil it at all.

This is definitely worth seeing - especially the little 'bridge' above the alleyway as you head out. The paint/gilt on the building is interesting. This is a walk thru and admire square.
