Glorious square

... close to the Markt. 17th century buildings line the south face of this square that have been maintained to keep in with the tradition of this must see city.

Plenty of restaurants, a market, stores, waffle shops, French fries places...fun to visit and in the middle of everywhere.

Schedule at least an hour here to take some photos, visit the Basilica and take a quick look at the inside of City Hall.

the square has a few places to eat, including a hagen daz, the area is beautiful and very dated, giving you a feel of tranquillity, nice for families and couples to walk through and take in the scenery

Walking around the square you see many interesting buildings, of a historic touch. It's pretty much spacious ... where it accommodates a huge crowd without feeling crowded !! A place for everyone, especially for those into photography. Near by is the center, and the market, so you can pass by while on a shopping mission ;)

This beautiful square is surrounded by ancient buildings, some of which you can go in. Don't miss the Renaissance Hall.

This square is surrounded with beautiful buildings, especially on the east side. In the middle there is the old town hall, flanked by De Brugse Vrije on its right hand and the Holy Blood basilica in the corner with the southside. On the north side there are temporary expos, on the southside chocolate (and probably other) stores. There is also... More

Perfect for couples and ideal for a romantic walk. The atmosphere here, especially around the period of Christmas, is more than perfect. I will never forget...7 o clock in the afternoon,..or maybe 8..almost everything is quiet in that moment... we are in the middle of the square... Deep bells coming from the church mixed with a heaven cello sound from... More

The square is stunning, very picturesque! I would highly recommend seeing this. It felt very medieval!
