We found this great bar almost by accident in Central Bruges. It was very cold an wet outside but this bar is a cosy and quiet sanctuary..... No televisions! There is a good selection of Belgian beers as well as others and wines etc served by attentive staff. I can recommend this bar to get a rest from a stroll around Bruges and the Christmas Markets.

So happy we found this place, it's been our local watering hole since we got here. Fantastic selection of beers, amazing staff, and a small food menu to get nibbles from. Highly recommend for somewhere to relax that's still close to all the action.

Having cycled from Gent and having had a wander round the old town we were gasping for a beer! Unprepared to pay the rip off prices of the bars near the square (€10 for a 50ml beer! No. Chance) we had a walk and my mate spotted a beer parasail down an alley way, so glad we investigated! €4.50 for a big beer, friendly staff and most importantly, locals drinking there so we knew we had found a good bar. Gem of a find, would highly recommend

Bruges has some great bars with great beers, and it’s for that reason we wanted to try as many as possible. Having said that Joeys Cafe was so good we had to go back. Stephen the owner was so friendly, so welcoming and his taste in music was also superb. Affordable prices when you compare with the rest of Bruges. We had food and drinks on a Saturday night. €12 for a fantastic Lasagne. The ambience was perfect, a hidden gem down an alley in the middle of a hectic shopping street. We played cards, drank beer, ate food, sang along to great playlists, before we knew it we had spent 5/6 hours in there and were made to feel as if we were one of the locals, of whom plenty seemed to gravitate to this bar. It got pretty busy between 9-11pm on Saturday night so try and get in before the rush to get a seat as it is a cosy place, probably seats around 30-40 people including bar seats. Like I mentioned earlier, it was so good and Stephen and his staff were so friendly we had to pop back in on our last day for one beer for the road. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Looking forward to visiting again, maybe if we get back to Bruges for the Cactus Festival... Stephens last recommendation as we left. Thanks for making our weekend away even better! Cheers!!

Popped in for a couple of drinks ,stayed for more, left feeling like a local, really friendly people, and the staff are great too, hidden away in little square up an alleyway but seek it out people.....prices are good compared to other bars and though I didn't eat myself the food looked good, also do a good range of no alcoholic drinks , teas and coffees...most impressed and I'm not easily.
